The story of a young blacksmith who helped the Isekai Hero defeat the Demon Lord. Demons galore!
Let's get right into it. This is a compelling romp that will drag you in. I read the whole thing in a day. It's mother of learning level good. I rarely finish a fiction in one day but like

    Write faster. I need more.
This is essential storytelling. No fluff nothing additional. We learn everything we need to know and the characters get fleshed out as they learn from the heretic.
    Story 5/5
Comparison with Mother of learning is qhat I chose to do because I binged the heck out of this. I feel like this was a lightning bolt and now I can think of so many things to do with thjs genre(isekai adjacent).
The characters really drive it in their interactions with this blacksmith that really just wants to live a peaceful life. Gods come and smite him but he smacks them right back in their unmentionables.
    Characters 5/5
The only thing that could improve on this qould be adding more bits to flesh out the character. Things like cultural touches. In that way what I am saying is that my main and only complaint is that there isn't more of this. Seriously it's a page turner.
Cultural touches could be in the food or in the way he is spoken to or how cults talk about the heretic.
    Grammar 5/5
It's good. It feels professionally edited. I know that author might think he’s a worse writer than me but I'll just say that I have the opposite view. Hopefully it's just my humility.
    Style 5/5
I adore this style. It is heavily reminiscent of the game one thousand year old vampire. If you like that, you will love this.

So this storyis pretty amazing. Im a huge fan of the slice of life style fantasy series which this most definately is, i was origionally concerned about the writing style as the MC primarily talks through journal entries, while side charactors etc. have active dialouge and such while showing the broader strokes of teh world and the ramifications of the MC actions rippling outwards. the characters are dynamic, and the world building and exposition is excellant. it is well worth a read.

I've really enjoyed this story for its way of storytelling, the characters, and sometimes the absurdities that occur. The characters are all great and have a unique enough way of speaking and all have different personalities. The grammar and readability are great. I always want to read more. It is just overall it is a great story and I really appreciate it.

Love how its Journal entries,  the story flow and the speed.  it really keeps you interested in where its going next.  finding myself trying to keep track of how old the MC is and the side charaters definitely play an intriguing role as it goes.
Very fun and worth the read!!

The author has fun playing with the summoned hero trope (and a lot of other cliches).
From the "all wise and  powerful gods" to the "forgettable sidekick."
    EDIT:
    I'm actually at chapter 95.Though I mayjust re-read it.
This story starts with the sidekick surviving the hero's victory and just wanting to settle down and live out the rest of his life. It then goes on from there from one improbable adventure to another.
I rate based on how much fun I have.
I originally found this on Redit's HFY and just recently discovered that he also posts here.  So, here I am where I get much better notices when a new chapter drops and what I've already read..

I really am enjoying this one. I, especially in the later chapters, find it hysterical that everyone is absolutely terrified of him and he has absolutely no idea. Really good world building, characters and storyline. The POV's are also really enjoyable, especially the bit with the Goat. The follow up with Bob was nice, I am glad that happened as I really enjoy continuation of the storyline even if it isn't directly.

I was not expecting this story when i clicked on the title.  The title is too unassuming; I was looking for a new story, but not expecting much.   This story is an example of why you need to try even the bland looking summarys and covers.  This is an amazing ride.
The story is half diary / half novel, tripping over itself in character and tense changes, always amusing, yet somehow coherent through the chaos.
A story about an  supporting character after his Hero wins against the demon king, and is left alone, hero returned to his own world, his wife dead.   Due to the last action of the Hero, the MC, who was happily dying of wounds from the final battle, is healed with a god-level potion, granting him effective immortality, when all he wanted was to die and spend eternity with his deceased spouse.   He spends the next hundreds of years shifting from town to town, doing various crafting jobs, slowly changing the continent through his curmudgeonly but good-hearted actions, cursing the gods, and daring them to get in his way.
The side characters are hysterical.  As an internal side-story, the gods are playing a delightful roleplay of Humans and Highrises, battling HOA Karens, and staying out of his way.
Worth the time if you like zany absurd and atypical characters.

What a story!  Max is a wonderful character, given immortality without wanting it, and even the gods are confused, although that doesn’t seem uncommon. I love reading about Max figuring out new ways to use his ever growing skillset, and the realization that everything has when they realize who he is. Oh, and the cat. The cat is awesome.

I'm having a lot of fun with this one. I find it hilarious, especially in the later chapters, that everyone is fearful of him and he has no idea why. Excellent world-building, characters, and plot. The POVs are really fantastic, especially the one with the goat. The follow-up with Bob was good, and I'm pleased it happened since I appreciate seeing the tale continue even if it isn't directly.
