A totally unique adventure following the misadventures of a greedy, but smart, mimic! This fantasy tale flips the script by putting you inside the mind of one of those shape-shifting treasure chest monsters.Definitely a well crafted story. The writer put alot of thought into properly pacing the story, its not to fast or slow, just perfect.Well planned and fleshed out worldbuilding that progresses as you read futer into the book , The characters are relatable and real for a seemingly weird book with a unique premise. All in all it's a very good story.Rather than being a typical dumb monster, the mimic actually thinks things through and tries to make sense of its bizarre situation. This narrator's clever inner voice and logical problem-solving make for an entertaining ride. There's a super cool twist right in the first chapter too - the mimic transforms into a human-like shape . The newly human-ish mimic has to adapt to walking, talking, and blending in among other races and civilizations. When the action kicks in, the fast-paced fight scenes are easy to follow and visualize. The author does a great job of making the magical battles clear and thrilling. With a funny, uniquely fresh perspective and a smart, greedy hero you can't help but root for, this hits all the right notes for a fun fantasy romp. The blend of comedy, adventure, and engaging world-building through new eyes makes for an awesome read!

Style: I like this story's style a lot. It has literary devices, in particular a lot of imagery that helps with the story's tone and set various scenes within the story. The author has incredibly good word choice and is able to set the tone very well with it. The author's way of writing is also unique.
Story: The story is great. it is paced at just the right pace. It develops at the right pace too. The story itself is about a mimic that gains a human-level of intelligence through magical means and then decides to become a merchant so he can get more money. That is already an interesting premise, and it is handled incredibly well. I like how the mimic interacts with human society. I also like the worldbuilding that is done as well as the side plots involving other characters. I honestly hope we get to see the side plots converge with the main plot soon. So, very good story.
Grammar: I couldn't find any grammatical errors based on my memory. Any that I found are likely already fixed.
Character: The characters are really good. They are all three-dimensional, well-depicted, and realistic for the world they are in. This goes for both the main character and side characters. The main character, Coin, is incredibly interesting. He is a mimic and is naive regarding humanoid society. This is something that bites him in the butt a few times, but he thankfully runs into some people that he can truly rely on. They are great characters too, very fun to read. So, no complaints here.
Overall, I highly recommend this story.

We have had many stories before about monster gaining sentience and beginning their own journey for magical power, but this story puts an interesting twist on that. If you are interested in the premise of a mimic becoming a merchant, and all the odd things that will entail, then you will like this read.
Style: The style is flowing and unobtrusive. The writer focuses on not using compound constructions for their writing, and I find this to be refreshing, even if I have difficulty stopping myself from doing the same. The simple and complex constructions allow for both description and pacing to be the showpieces of the work. Very well done.
Grammar: There isn't much that I need to say here. For the most part, I found the grammar impeccable, though there were a few occasions where the wrong word might be substituted here and there. Nothing that was incredibly distracting or which stopped me from enjoying the work.
Story: Where I am in the reading, we have just arrived at the first town. In a classic fantasy story that I might find on this cite, I would expect to know where we go from here, but this story has a twist on the tropes I would expect. Right at the start, Coin has the chance to join the adventurer's guild, to get to collecting power, but he turns it down. The only thing he is interested in is meat and money, and I find him walking his own path to be rather refreshing.

Style: The style of writing is short, concise, and fluid. The flow between paragraphs is wonderful, with the beautiful syntax ensuring I remain immersed without being yeeted out of the story which for the record is beautiful. Nitpicking coming up!
Story:  The story is quite a unique take on the monster getting exposed to human world trope, and it is better than most I have read about imps, goblins and dragons. The journey of a mimic to become a merchant is cool, and I can predict this being driven off his own greed - making a good merchant. He would have made a terrible adventurer. Although, I am disliking the fact that he is not going to eat his customers, burn the bodies and take their gold: turning his business into one big food and gold factory.
Character:  I like the main character Coin — quite an interesting character with interesting goals. His goal to finding more gold as a greedy mimic is quite interesting, and on my view of fighting mimics during my short-lived gaming sessions — fuck, I hate mimics disguised as treasure chest. Always handing out that flicker of hope when on my last HP, and then — bam! I’m re spawning, or end up with just barely enough — or nothing at all — rewards. I hate them, and still do even do I like Coin
Everyone is written well, although I wished Coin was more villainous as the emotionless greedy monster he started off as. Intelligence would have made a dangerous killing machine hunting humans for their gold — but, anyways. That could be a random fetish I acquired after reading Reverend Insanity.
Grammar: The grammar is good, not many errors to kill the experience. The choice of words is nice and simple, and I don’t have to rush my dictionary every two seconds. Which well, meant I never got to learn any new words or terms, Haha — that was not a cheerful laugh, but it sounds like one so you’d not know that it actually isn’t.

This is a super fun and immersive read that’s so far been pure fun to read. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing where the story goes from here. I like how thoroughly all the characters have been written and that we get multiple perspectives to view the world at large.

Style: The style is good and the writing is well done. The occasional alternate povs are also handled well and add to the story.
Story: The story is very fun. The mc hasn't started his own business yet and is in training. In a group he roams and learns stuff with the occasional murder here and there. The larger plot happening in the background is also super interesting and I'm excited to see more.
Grammar: The grammar is great I don't remember seeing any errors.
Characters: The characters are excellent, the mc is very fun since he's a Mimic so he doesn't know a lot of human stuff but does know the basics. While he is greedy and eats people he's a very nice "person" and he even wants to make things better and stop the discrimination between the various races. All around he's great and while he does have his massacre moments he's a great guy. The merchant is great, he's very wise and a good guy as well I really like him too. The Kobold and singer are also very likeable and charming. The Elf and Rogue are good too, although personally I'm still more interested in what the mcs group does than them.
Conclusion: Great story. I can't really think of any flaws. Unless you dislike the concept or story I'd say you give it a shot since it's a fun well made story.

The usual tropes that follow the starting of similar stories are that of reincarnation, which was what I was expecting however the story turned out quite different from my expectations.
A new fight scene with the bandits is about to begin in the point of the story where I have reached and I can't help but remember my greed filled skyrim playthroughs lol.
The writer's style of writing is amazing, one of the things that sets it apart from the other novels that I have reviewed in this site. The flow of the story, as well as the pacing is awesome to say the least.
The protagonist, named Coin lol, is well written and the best part? He is almost as new to this world as you are! The mimic's character is fun to say the least, I especially loved the dialogue that read along the lines of "that and I'm always hungry" lol. The MC is a greedy glutton, and the quote at the start of chapter 1 is not there without cause xD.
Although the flow at some parts could be improved there is no issue with grammar and readability. The story flows well.
The story is enthralling to say the least, leaving you wanting more. However it has just started so I won't be able to comment much on this, but you can see that the author has planned something grand with the mention of the "goddess" in the earlier chapters. The humor is well written, I giggled a bit at the part where Coin thought Illyana would eat him.
Overall it's an amazing read and a fun ride. Try it out and you won't regret it!!

    Yup, it's fun to read.
The MC is a greedy but cultured Mimic. At least he knows what he's doing, wouldn't do stupid things and is smart, well as smart as a mimic can be.
I'm kidding, the main character is smart, understands the situations and act accordingly.
    A minor spoiler:
But it's not really one if you take a look at the cover. But the MC would turn into a humanoid by the end of the first chapter. So don't expect a walking treasure chest.
The fight scenes are easy to follow and you can easily understand what's what.
The narrative is unique because you're literally seeing things from a blank slate perspective.
What I mean by that is, you're gonna understand what it would be like to be a mimic because the character is exploring everything from the beginning so it's like you're seeing the world from a completely new perspective.
