Now called Kael, our “newborn” protagonist must face the challenge of starting from scratch—literally. He can barely hold his own head up, let alone become the powerful mage he dreams of being! But that won’t stop him from trying. Between constant naps, he studies the local language, observes his writer mother, and tries to uncover the secrets of magic. After all, being born in a magical world andnotlearning to throw at least one fireball would behumiliating.
