Description
He needed a sword. The system gave him a pen. Klaid is a former kendo prodigy who treats VR as a ruthless economy, optimizing every second to pay for his mother's medical bills. To him,Crown of Destinyis a spreadsheet to be solved. But his cold efficiency backfires on launch day. By exploiting a lore paradox, he is cursed with the one thing he can’t understand: theLegendary Poetclass. It is a power-gamer's nightmare. The class relies on the very thing Klaid discarded long ago: emotion. Now, trapped between a dying mother in reality and a useless class in-game, Klaid must do the impossible. He must learn to feel again. Not to heal.To turn anguish into DPS. Warning:The story is told through Klaid’s perspective. Initially, the prose reflects his worldview: cold, transactional, and hyper-logical. As the story progresses and his class forces him to engage with art and emotion, thenarrative voice will evolve with him. What to Expect:Rational Protagonist:No deus ex machina. Problems are solved through logic and exploiting game mechanics.Hybrid Combat:High-level Kendo skills meet reality-warping word magic.Logic-Based Magic:Spells (or rather, poems) reward semantic understanding rather than brute force.Narrative Crafting:Forging items by rewriting their lore and history.Permanent Consequences:The MC permanently alters the game content.Progression:OP to weak to strong to OPNo Harem. Release Schedule:M-W-F *inspired by The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor and Overgeared

- RhumageRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story is something a bit different. The MC's abrupt transition from nuts and bolts fighting, to the carefully nuanced application of words to gain combat-related effects, is surprising but also well handled. The pace of learning his new art is quite fast but consistent with the analytical approach the MC has displayed from the outset of the story so it remains credible. Kudos to the author for setting himself the ongoing challenge of crafting suitable rhyming couplets. Additional depths is given to the narrative by the knowledge of what the MC has sacrificed to achieve his goals, and that tantalising hope that his strange new class will let him reclaim that piece of his soul. Fingers crossed.
- SanguisorRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Style: it feels a bit ai assisted but its still very infact its one of my new favourite's its a bit cringe and a little edgy but overall its a vrmmorpg novel alright 4/5
Grammar: i have not seen a single mistake in grammar doe's not use Punctuation Marks 4/5
Story score: Its a about a person who has killed themselves emotionally to for their families safety but he will regain it the story and how the way it is told will slowly shift as the mc emotions recover at first he is mechanical hiding his pain in helping his mother get money avoids contact practically let himself go he will grow and learn to live and feel 5/5
Character: The characters feel alive at the same time filler characters come and go not to mention some characters are come and go or just generally just there for the plot but maybe it will improve in time honestly most of the character development is on the mc and charles i think i forgot the 2nd characters name its honestly a lone wolf store its about his growth and he comes to be some characters are broken some are balanced 3.5/5 - ObliviouslyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So far the story has been pretty interesting, Im looking forward to how the author takes it in the future, expanding on the VRMMO world he has created, along with the main character Kages story, what happened that caused him to quit Kendo? What happened to his Mother?
Overall the story is very interesting, this review may change in the future, but for now my opinion is 4.5 to 5 stars - Pattern111Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0As a committed reader of the vrmmo genre, this is probably the most interesting and well written story being made right now. The world building, narrative, action, it’s a 10/10. For what is a very cliche initial premise for the MC, the emotional depth of the story and the twists and payoffs have been so far lovely.
As a last note, it is one of the only vrmmo stories I have read that actual captures key mechanics and tricks of mmos (some other RR stories do well with this, but not all). Clearly the author played mmos seriously.
Fun read, don’t miss it! - Aluminium_SpaghettiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It's well written with a unique premise, that's all that need be said. For the word count however, I will say that the protagonist is perfectly flawed as well as unreasonably skilled. His core flaw being this emotional inflexibility, and his skills being martial. The contrast between his class and his preferred play style provides realistic conflict to contest his extreme motivation. If you can't tell, I just like to use big words.
- ChaozFishyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I wasn't sure how I would feel when I started reading. A lot of vrmmo stories fail to really make you feel any stakes, but not this one. The author really conveys the mc's desperation and commitment.
Great action scenes. They feel dynamic while also making sure you still know what's going on, but more importantly you can feel mc's thoughts in the flow. - DWWRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Great story, the characters are well written, with clear motivations, and character. The world building is great, and interactions across the world seem like they have consequences. There's no 1D paper thin plot here, everything has weight. No typos spotted, it's well written and the author has used a decent level of vocab.Keep it up cant wait to see how the story develops.
- Alex_Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I picked up this story after seeing it in an ad and I got into it right away, the way the mc starts out is interesting but the growth he gets shows who he really is instead of the mask he puts up to keep himself going, this story is already amazing and it's lore focus is one of my favorite parts, I can tell it's building slowly and I'm enjoying the ride there!
- FerthiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0What an absolute delight. I prefer to lurk while handing out ratings but this one caught my eye and mind so well that I feel compelled to write a review to go with it.
The MCs mental strength is well written and I'm loving the human calculator. I look forward to seeing how the Operator's iron will shifts.
The preamble to the game lore was very neat, and I wish more real games would have secret quests in a similar style as it's very clever and interesting. I hope the world building continues to impress!
The references to Moonlight Sculptor are great, I really enjoyed those books and so far I think it's living up to be a worthy comparison.
The magic system, as it is, relying on imagination while still being code is novel. What a neat way to make what a normal player would consider worthless and make it into something not only useful but necessary to become great.
I'm very excited to see how the MC handles his class' powers, they're definitely very OP once he figures out how to work it. Right now he's using the one word poems but I'm not convinced he understood the description properly so I'll see how that pans out.
Grammar is top notch. I read so much that it's easy to catch poor grammar and wording, but I've seen very little if any errors. Not noticing any spelling errors either.
All in all, a fantastic start and I'm really excited to continue. - The GalleonRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I am loving how the author is using the logical choices of the character, who you can sympathise with incredibly easily on why he is like he is; i quite enjoy that in a character.A major benefit to the story is; There is no obvious punctuation or grammar mistakes, alongside a nicely spaced out chapter format, making the overall read quite pleasant, even if you do not like the story itself.Looking forward to more and would give you, random person reading this review, a high recommendation to go read this story.Give it a chance.:3 ♡
