Description

The Spheric has known peace, all thanks to the reign of the current Emperor of the Deitus Empire.

But not everyone is content. The Empire has grown too powerful, and there are whispers of an unknown evil lurking in the shadows. No one knows the true nature of the threat-all that is know is when someone disappears, they return changed, with unsired blood... They return as a species long thought extinct.

Amid this growing tension, the Imperial Crown Princess, Teresa Deitus, finds the purity of her mind questioned, and her leadership not trusted. With an unknown menace rising, the Spheric on the brink of war, and her own throne threatened by the existence of her younger brother, Teresa feels vulnerable and alone.

That is until she discovers Ariea-a mysterious girl with powers beyond anything Teresa has ever seen. Powers she desperately wants to control. Power she aims to own.

Even if it means sacrificing the very peace that has held the Spheric together.

The Empire's forgotten ones have wept tears of blood.

They've been told to suffer in silence, to brave the cold, to be grateful for the scraps of care thrown their way.

But change is coming. The forgotten remember their pain, and with one of their own leading them, they will embrace the darkness to claim their fate. They will no longer be silent, no longer invisible.

And the world will remember their faces until its dying breath.

Initially, I was a bit skeptical mostly because the description was a bit more vague, but the story-telling is quite impressive. A mix of old english and fantasy. I'm enjoying the author's writing style.
I've read 10 chapters so far, but I think it's gonna be a good read. It doesn't necessarily start out slow, but I also feel like I didn't get enough time to get attached to Ariea.
I hope that improves in the future.
    Spoiler
The characters of Teresa and Ariea are quite distinctive.
We have Imperial Princess Teresa, who, after finding her missing fiance, slowly loses her mind to grief.
Then we have Ariea whose being abused by her biological father, and half-siblings for reasons we don't know yet other than she illegitimate.
The dynamics are refreshing, not gonna lie. It is a bit cliche that Ariea is being abused by her family for being a illegitimate child, but I'm happy to see that the reason why the court is wreary of Teresa is not because she's a woman, but because she's going crazy. I like that take.
I hope to see more world building, and the different beings that live in the world called the Spheric.
Note: I'm gonna add in another review after I'm at least 100 chapters in. I look forward to the direction the story is going to take!
