'The Wolf and the Dove shall rise with the help of the Phoenix whom the King shall despise'

Alex lives with her brother, Grey, in the Sea, a colony of little tents in the shadow of the castle of the King of Ragdon. Living a life neither truly enjoys, they venture out one night and each come upon a magical necklace. That find sends the siblings on a journey that will take them across the island of Ragdon and might just change the course of history forever.

King Garonda XIV rules the island of Ragdon with an iron fist. He sits on the Amethyst Throne and commands his army of Guard and Soldiers to enforce his reign. But a prophecy states that the King will fall at the hands of the Wolf and the Dove, and the King has no intentions of letting the prophecy play out.

I absolutely loved this book! The storyline was unique and really interesting. The art was awesome as well, portraying the characters perfectly. The author was nice, too! They answered all my questions enthusiastically and with kindness.
Style: I'd actually never seen any style like this before. even though it was in present tense, and I prefer past, I got ahold of the surroundings and what was going on quite well. The story was divided into several separate sections, each one with a. different perspective. Each chapter had a new piece of amazing art.
Grammar: While the grammar wasn't "exquisite", it was great compared to many other stories I've read (and even better than my own). There were a few sections where part of the story was missing, but I informed the author, and they fixed those. Other than that, it was perfect.
Story: The plot and setting was excellent. The map of Ragdon helped, but I got the feel of the island even without looking at it due to some good descriptions of the surroundings. The scenes never lacked anything, and the pace wasn't fast or slow. It would be an easy story to binge read.
Character: Oh my....is there a lot on this topic. I would say this is the best part of the story--that every character had a backstory, whether shrouded in mystery, pain, or confusion. Even the side characters or people/creatures that the main characters barely encountered briefly had some sort of depth in them. The personalities of each character varied perfectly as well, balancing each other out.
All in all, it was perfect. I would absolutely read this book, and leave a comment and review as well. I can't wait for future chapters! :D
