I like the style of Kei's narration, seems like a pretty cool, laidback dude.
Your story also poses an interesting question, what do you do with your life when you've got all the time in the world? I'm sure even immortality would get boring at some point. Also, the inability to stay in one place longer than a
month seems like it's a good way to keep Kei moving to new and interesting locations, I'd be curious to see what would happen if he did have to stay in one place for longer and what the consequences might be.
I like how Kei is sharing stories from his childhood, but I'd weave them into the story more organically than just having him say, "might as well share a story." Does the storm or the mountain remind him of his past or cause him to
reflect on his childhood?
