- RznRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The concept is straightforward and the execution of the idea is mostly good, though the idea of a human trapped in a murderous robot is not very original, putting it as a fantasy dwarf-slaying game is unique. The issue of mind control and perception alteration stumbles a bit and the prose has a lot of comma splices, but otherwise it is good. A fun little story with a dark premise.
- SolipsisRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Is it a one-shot? It feels like a one-shot. If it’s not a one-shot then I want more!
The teaser is spot-on. Style is ok but not exceptional—power through. What shines is the vision of the author: in just 1.5k words, Daniel Winslow manages to get straight to the impactful ending. Definitely worth the few minutes you’ll need to read it!
