Description

Tinkers are those who are sadistic enough to graft mechanical prosthetics to their bodies, replacing their limbs and organs so they could wield the war machines that were left behind by a now extinct race of mechanical beings known only as Gearmongers.

Thode Stoolbottom is a professional delver and mid-rank Tinker. For years, he’s been eking out a living delving Gearmonger ruins. Since he was a teenager, it’s just been him and his gyroscopic automaton, who claims to be his dead grandfather,scavenging for new Gadgets to sell so they could make some quick coins.

When one of the local tycoons offers him a chance that could pad his way into the innermost circles of Arcwatch, his home, he jumps on it without a second thought.

However, a chance encounter with a thief and her bodyguard threatens to derail his golden ticket.

****This is a steampunk, fantasy litrpg that I’ve been working on. Never done royalroad before.

UPDATED: Releases will be sporadic at best because my schedule has become quite hectic! Sorry for that!

As a fan of steampunk and litrpg, I've suffered from a lack of books in those genres, with this book I've had a itch that I can scratch and I'm hoping the author continues to supply my addiction. If I had to make a complaint, all I'd say is that I need more chapters, so if you're reading this please post more!!!!!

This is one of those stories that makes me regret giving out so many high ratings. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, the author has a clearly defined writing style, the characters are vibrant, and the grammar is perfect. It's very uncommon to see something this stylized and polished on Royal Road.
This is not your typical binge-ready litRPG or progression fantasy. It's something a heck of a lot closer to high fantasy coming of age. The steam punk setting is the standout feature; it renders visions of Arcane's season one, which is awesome! Additionally, the author includes the perfect amount of imagery to where I can visualize the setting, but don't get the urge to skim.
Further, the MC and supporting characters are fantastic! Unlike the majority of stories, this one provides compelling background histories for the characters. Thus far it has really pulled me in and made me give a damn about what's happening. I can't wait for more chaps.
I can't quite give a review on the pacing or system yet, but I'll be back with an advanced review when the story progresses to that point.
