The dreams of a lonely daughter

Ancient Gods, parallel words, and a journey to find family...

Sometimes I wonder if there was a purpose to me being reborn into this fantastic world. I'm not really all that smart nor am I particularly strong, but for some reason I found myself in a very fortunate position. I had friends, family, a warm home and a welcoming village, but what happens when I am stripped of those things? Will go back to being nothing?

I already died once, and after I die again I don't think there will be any more chances. Fame and fortune? Epic adventure and discovery? I don't need trivial things like that; friends and family are precious, right? Then I'll just have to do my best to protect them and keep them close... otherwise I'll be nothing but an empty shell.

Right... I have to try my best because that's the only thing I'm good at.
