Description

Alex was just trying to finish a last-minute sword commission during a midnight thunderstorm—until lightning turned his forge into a portal. One blinding flash later, he wakes up in a medieval village with nothing but the clothes on his back and his favorite hammer… which might now be magical. Unfortunately, it’s nothelpfullymagical.

His hammer seems to imbue the metal he works with strange, unintended quirks: ploughs that refuse to turn left, knives that hum with anxiety, nails that attract flies. And the village? Let’s just say they’re not quite sure if he’s a smith, a sorcerer, or a walking disaster.

But the forge is warm, the bread (barely) edible, and the locals—well, some of them—are starting to trust him. Kind of. Maybe. As strange requests pile up and rumors of theft and danger swirl through the village, Alex must figure out how to control his unpredictable new gift before someone gets hurt—or he’s driven out for good.

A reluctant blacksmith. A misfiring magical hammer. And a medieval world that really wasn’t ready for either.
