Description

She was just another face in the crowd-until the night the sky opened and dragged her into a world that shouldn't exist.

Evelyn "Eve" Adams has spent her life shrinking herself to fit into a world that never felt like hers. Working a soul-crushing corporate job and nursing the wounds of betrayal, she stumbles into the wrong place at the worst moment-only to awaken in a new reality called Terra, a breath-taking world of elemental powers, portal breaks, and ancient secrets.

But Eve isn't like the others who've fallen through the cracks between worlds. Something inside her stirs-raw, unstable, and impossibly powerful. As the shadow creatures stalking Terra grow bolder and the fabric between dimensions thins, Eve becomes the centre of a storm she doesn't understand.

Drawn into a world of elite soldiers, buried bloodlines, and mysterious beings known as Celestials, Eve must uncover the truth of who she is and why this world seems to know her better than she knows herself. Especially Levi Black-the cold, powerful operative whose piercing eyes hold a memory she doesn't share... yet.

In a world built on legacy, Eve is an anomaly. A threat. A prophecy. And maybe, Terra's last hope.

The Celestial Divide is a story that follows the usual flow of stories in the genre. The unsatisfied person of interest getting whisked away to a world of new possibilities and new hope.  Eve is no different, betrayed by her lover and with her world feeling like its crashing down around her, it is no wonder she fits into prime Isekai material. While such a set up isn't unique, that does not betray the spirit that is found within this story.
The story makes sense and has enough meat on its bones to make you want to see more. The fact that such out-of-this-world travel is common in the world that CurseUser sets up a lot for the story in my eyes. However, I feel as though with the way the story progresses, it has a tendency to move a bit too quickly, and a real need to pound into us that "Eve is special, pay attention to her." Such time could be spent in making sure that we feel really invested in the world, have Eve spend time with the characters within. With Chapter Four introduced like 3 new people and each of them not getting the time to spend with Eve, its hard to really form that connection that makes me think of them as people.
The grammar is well done and the characters are (while a bit basic) are servicable and ultimately not annoying.  The use of dialogue makes it a bit hard to get a good sense of each character since it feels as though each character can only talk in dedicated sentences.  None of them are annoying or overbearing though so that's a plus in that corner.
Overall, this is a lovely and comfy piece of work, reminiscent of a well made YA novel that you're sure would get a pretty decent adaptation. Lovely work and I hope you continue writing.
