Overall, this is an amazing fanfiction so far that is in the tinkerer of fiction format. It does a great job balancing the rate of progress and the intogration of multiple technologies very well.
It should be a good sign that my only complaint is that there isn’t more of it.

This story seems to get some hate for being what it is- A tinker story. Let's get that out of the way first- if you don't like the technobabble aspects, there are myriad stories out there that have crafter MC's that don't do any actual crafting, and Id recommend those instead. This story however, focuses heavily on the crafting aspect- it scratches that ITCH to dig deep into the mechanics and lore of the technology of the setting and not just its plot. The characters are a tad superficial and the plot doesn't move too much, but it's use of its core premise? That much is impeccable. One of the best ToF stories out there.
Character interactions feel somewhat bland but have shown improvement as the story has gone on, the biggest issue with the characters is the lack of real conflict between them. Everyone is overly agreeable for the setting- future conflict is alluded to but not really touched on all that far. The lack of depth in the characters is something I hope to see addressed (and is already addressed to a fair degree with the OC Corpo, this is moreso a critique of the implementation of the Canon characters. They're lacking their grit.)

Definitely my favorite cyberpunk fanfic as well as one of the best celestial forge/ cyoa/ tinker fiction out there. The writing and grammar are great with only a few mistakes here and there and the pacing has been very good so far. I am definitely looking forward to every new chapter.

So this story takes, one thing and bridges many things into it. That is the big and small of it.  I would recommend reading this because I have no way to convey what additions to this cyberpunk story without spoilers.
I now check back weekly for the every other to every week updates that are put in. It is fun and ends up checking references from a few other games and genres as well.

I really enjoyed reading this story, it was a lot of fun. I think I'm going to read it again, you should read it too. 🫂
You can ignore the poem below, its just to meet the word count.
Mind hacks glitch, choombas lose grip,
Chrome thoughts fracture on a data trip.
    Netrunners ghost in neon haze,
Eddies buy dreams that slip and fray.
    Fixers whisper, shadows creep,
Flatline’s edge, no room for sleep.

This is a great story that really focus on the tinker of fiction aspect of the building and growth stages while also making it easy to understand for those of us who have not seen or played any of the tech trees referenced. This combined with the familiar cyberpunk setting in almost an AU at this point makes this a great combination of cyberpunk fanfiction/SI novel along with the tinker aspect of any tinker of fiction novel. I would definitely recommend if you enjoy tinker or cyberpunk fanfiction.

The writing itself is easy to read and half decent while the story itself is fun and relaxing. On top of that the characters that are consistently reappearing are fleshed out to some degree instead of typical cartoon stereotype a or stereotype b. Only gripes I have is that there's no tangible enemy that isn't the usual cyberpunk "corpos bad" trope. Something like a rival or some specific big bad. That and despite the mc's reasonable paranoia, he seems a little too trusting at times (this mainly comes from when dealing with the fixer and the corpo woman).

Pretty good! I'm always a fan of tinkering and technological development as opposed to personal development since it tends to lead to the things i like the most, namely an organisational bias as opposed to random murder hobo-ing.I think the system is pretty cool, a rotating series of options is better and forces short term decision making, meaning I, as a reader, can't get too lost in the "what would I do/what's the best option" and accidentally ruin my own enjoyment of the story by optimising the fun out of it. Idk how relatable that is though.Occasional grammatical errors, but nothing to worry about. The most common error is using a homophone, weight vs wait, or something like that, so it's easy to figure out what they meant to say.
