Description
A twisted blend of fairy tales and reality, this collection of chapters follows the life of Elly, a vampire obsessed with humanity. The story starts off moments after her turning and continues over the centuries up to the present day.
This short story was a class project I did during college some years ago and decided to publish. The theme of the class at the time was 'fairy tale renditions'.

- UniWaffleRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is truly a phenomenal short story. It is really charming and has its own strong identity. The writing style is elegant but simple, and lends to a vibrant atmosphere. The main girl is a joy to follow and developed exceptionally well considering the short length of the story. All of the plotlines are also really interesting and original. The prevailing thought I had after finishing the story was that I wanted more, which in my opinion is the highest accolade a short story can receive.
If I was to critique something it would be that the first half is much superior to the second half, as each of the first four chapters tells its own little memorable story, while the latter chapters are more interdependent and yet seem to say less. However this is a minor compliant, as even these chapters are still interesting, and the ending is excellent.
I might be overrating because the story is so brief and thus leaves a disproportionately good impression. I am also biased because I love vampires. However nonetheless this is a story I would recommend to anyone. Its short, sweet and you will not lose much time reading it. Dont overlook this because its seems so unassuming, give it a chance and you might come away loving it as much as I do.
