Follow Derek on his journey as he is summoned to a fantasy land as a demon. Oh it'll start normal enough. Some humans here, some elves there, maybe a dwarf or two. But let's not be so limited! A dark elf futanari? A giantess who uses small men and women as living clothing via string? Angels who manipulate the innocent? Gender bender, aliens, fairies and fey, transformation, anthropomorphic creatures, slavery both wanted and unwanted, drunk oni's, tentacle pits, wars and royalty, hive minds and cults, and more and more!

It’d be easier to say what won’t there be on his journey really. And what a journey it will be. Make no mistake! Ready yourself for plots a plenty and life in ways you’ve never seen before.

(Double Pstt. As a heads up, this book is gonna get... spicy at times. And starts very intense.)

Basic breakdown: That Time I Accidentally Became A Demon is an adventurous journey into a fantasy world with a wide range of themes and character types, from elves and dwarves to other races. Lol like Demons.
Overall score 5/5: The protagonist finds themselves in an unexpected world, full of challenges and obstacles. The author does an amazing job show the pain the main MC experience. The story is intense and fast-paced, and the character development is top-notch.
Style score 5/5: The writing style is incredibly engaging and easy to read. There are lots of vivid descriptions and moments that bring the world to life. The dialogue between characters is natural. Between the main character and Salve felt real in chapter 3. The overall pacing is just right, with each chapter leaving you on the edge of your seat.
Story score 5/5: The story of the protagonist's transformation from a human to a demon! I have a few theories about how that happened! The subsequent challenge he faces is a fresh take on the demon trope. The world-building is fantastic. There seems to be a rich history and culture that adds depth to the story.
Grammar score 5/5: The grammar is superb, making for an easy and enjoyable reading experience.
Character score 5/5: The protagonist, Derek, is a complex and relatable character. Love the name choice as well. Derek is struggling to come to terms with his transformation. His reactions to the challenges he faces are both realistic and heart-wrenching. As if this happened to a real person. I don’t know how I feel about Salve just yet, but I do feel bad for the hardships he had to face. He doesn’t seem to be a “joke” character which is good!
Overall, 'That Time I Accidentally Became A Demon' is a dark, intense and action-packed tale that will keep you hooked, I know it hooked me. I appreciate the higher than usual attention to the emotional experiences of the characters. For example, I love how the main character talks about the line he won’t cross. It's also a

This story is a whirlwind of violence with the intensity cranked to 11! Derek the MC suddenly finds himself suffering intensely in hell without knowing why he was sentenced to such a horrific fate. The story follows him from there as he finds himself in more situations, each more horrible than the last. There is rape, murder, dismemberment and maiming galore!
There is more to the story than a simple bloodbath. It also delves into Derek's emotional reactions to what is happening to him and how he deals with the pain and power he experiences.
If you want to read a well written, extremely intense story, then you must read this one!

I've been enjoying this a lot. I appreciate the higher than usual attention to the emotional experiences of the characters. It's also refreshing to read something unpredictable. To top it off the story is actually substantively exploring parts of the human experience. For example the story has delved into prejudice and it's interactions with trauma and recovery. These are not easy subjects to confront so I can see where some readers may bounce off. For those who invest in the story, there is both surface level enjoyment and a deeper conversation that be had. The ability to have both of these facets is a hallmark of genuinely good writing.

This was some find, I thought it'll be quirky and interesting but my goodness it's pure unadulterated madness of the best kind. So much fun to read and the characters really grow on you.
I can honestly say I like them all and there are moments for all of them that you'll think really but then laugh and keep on reading as the madness continues. The best bit is it's really well written and perfectly paced to keep you turning the pages and even if some of the themes may not be for you you'll be missing out of you don't gloss over them and keep reading this fun filled adventure of crazy in a mad world.
Love it and can recommend more highly

I eagerly await each chapter.  Characters are fun to follow, with flaws and all.  The world and concept is different enough to be interesting but rooted in basic genre tropes to keep it relative.  So many different plot lines and secrets it is fund to see each chapter what will happen.  Highly recommend!

Very much enjoyed the story, I got really excited when I saw the final chapter dump thinking it was getting picked up again. Really sad the author wasn't able to get the traction the story deserved. High flying magical violence, interesting world building and nuanced nontypical group dynamics. A very visceral walk through some harrowing mental trauma and the emotional experiences of severe body dysmorphia. And who doesn't love some not so tasteful weird smut!

I... this is the best I can write about it. I've just read about a demon getting drugged onto fucking a priestess and I think my mind's gotten some kind of trauma. I-I just can't get it out of my head, has anyone got the number of a therapist?

Wasn't sure where this was going, but it's better then i feared. Worse then i hoped, yet it deffinitely wasn't a waste of time.
Let's be clear, it's not for the delicate and faint of heart; Maybe even a bit more vulgar then it has to be in some places, especialy in the early chapters, if i'm honest. But the story managed to hook me enough to read 50+ chapters. There is violence, and there is sex; you have been warned.
Although there are some flaws with the execution, the story is interesting and entertaining. There is mystery and a lot of potential for the world aptly named Ero, filled with many diverse races, each seemingly with their own culture and quirks... The thing is we spent most of the time on the characters, and maybe a bit to much inside their heads, so there is still a lot to learn about the world; But slowly we get to see more of it.
Style is fine. A mix of humor and dark. I guess after the first few chapters the sudden humor was a bit jarring, but now the tone was set and it mixes well. Like mentioned before maybe a bit to heavy on introspection, especialy when mc's thoughts seem to spin in circles sometimes.
Characters are a mix'd bag. Oh they are unique and interesting, even the side ones, but there were some elements that just didn't work. We still have to get to know more about the main cast though...For example I couldn't get a clear picture of how the mc looks for a very long time. That was a bit annoying but i guess it had to wait for the right moment in the story. Took him long time to notice certain things, guess his mind was occupied with other matters...
Grammar... ehh. Some missing words here, some extra words there. Mixed letters will slip in. Had to do a double take on some sentences to try and understand the meaning, but overall not bad. Could use some polish. Although I'm not one to talk about that.
Not a bad read overall. Gets better after a rocky start. Looking forward to more chapters, and i hope the author has fun writting and learn

You know that guy who constantly is always speaking loudly, so you kind of get used to it, and so can't tell when he actually raises his voice?
Something similar happens here.  As the synopsis clues you in, this is a very intense story.  And while there are some quieter moments, overall, it's nearly non-stop.  Because of that, it seems like we're constantly in a crisis and it's hard to tell when things go from bad to worse or the relatively badness of various events.
That said, the synopsis really only gives you the themes of the story, rather than the premise or the plot.  What happens is
Derek a human is summoned to another world, passing through literal hell to do so, and arrives as a demon. This all in all sucks for him, but he ends up in a situation to do so good. Then he gets sucked off by an elf. (No, really). But there's really bad racism and after nearly getting lynched by fire over it, he gets escorted to the elven border where their more tolerant.  His escorts somewhat befriend him, and they get into trouble along the way, including fighting off an evil, rapey vampire. Then they get to the elven town and it becomes rather slice of life so far.
I should also mention that Derek is in a very bad place, mentally. The whole demon transformation is really rough on him. Then the racism.  And then he also apparently suffers from gender dysmorphia. So it can be kind of rough when you're inside his head.
