Description

Assimilation or destruction. In the world of Pelemont, there is no third option. When a flash of light tears Daniel, Robert, and Katrina from their world, they aren’t met with a system or a grand quest. Instead, they find themselves in a land where humans are the ultimate outsiders– heralds of either salvation or ruin to the indigenous Dae. Daniel, a former Marine, must use every survival skill he possesses to lead two younger unprepared companions through a world of ancient spirits and rival clans. To survive, they must master the Dunamis– a mysterious power they barely understand, before the politics and violence of a dying world consumes them. This isn’t just another story about getting home; it’s about whether these humans can earn their place in a world that never asked for them, but desperately needs them. ************************************************************************************************* Book 3 is out and well underway. Three humans. One alien world. No easy answers! What to expect: - Hard World-Building:A grounded, Greek/Norse/Medieval-inspired setting with an original magic system (the Dunamis). - Character Growth:A realistic ensemble cast, featuring a competent veteran and two newcomers who all must adapt or die. - Weak to Strong Development:Follow each character on every step of their journey to survive and achieve greater heights of power. - Nuanced Conflict:No “dark lords” here! Only rival clans, shifting politics, and numerous threats, each with complex and earned motivations. - Slow-Burn Progression:Personal and group power scaling that feels earned through struggle, not gifted by a system. - Romance is a subplot:There is tasteful romance; it is not a major part of the story, but present. I don’t even know where to start. This was one of the first books I started reading when I got on RR and at first I was ping ponging between several, but I quickly got engrossed in the story. Each of the characters that I was introduced to came to life before my eyes the more I read. And as I am now finished with book one. I can’t wait for the story to continue.
The author’s style is superb. He’s incredibly descriptive and can set the tone really well. From the first chapter and it’s creepy start, to the crazy battles and twists. They weave together perfectly!
The story was incredible. Each of the main three characters goes through HUGE changes throughout, especially Robert. Oh my GOD, his arc is wild. They start off in a new world. And instead of ham fisting everything to me at the beginning, I was rewarded for actually seeking answers by reading. Like normal, I mean it's a progression fantasy. I also was really invested in the side characters too. Whose stories are just as interesting and engaging as the main cast. To top it all off with an ending that blew my mind. Seriously. It goes pretty hard.
The characters were the best part for me. I see some people talking about how they weren’t fleshed out at the beginning, but that’s because you have to READ. Robert’s story pops off at around chapter 20 or something. And Daniel and Katrina grow so much. I felt invested in each of the characters and when stuff happens to them I felt it. I hope this trend continues in book 2.
Anyway, to wrap it up. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves fantasy and is looking for a new epic.

This story, set in a mysterious and unnerving world, successfully captures the reader's attention with its fast pace, intriguing characters, and unique setting. It begins with a sense of disorientation, as three earthlings find themselves trapped in a forest that is not only alien to them but also foreboding. This mirrors the reader’s experience, pulling us into their confusion and the eerie atmosphere surrounding them. In the first chapter, I felt like I was Will Byers being thrown into the Upside Down. Though the setting remained strange, perceptions continued to evolve with each chapter as the three protagonists get further immersed into this world and with every question answered a new one is asked, keeping the reader immersed too.Story Review:The narrative unfolds at a brisk pace, offering readers just enough information to remain engaged without overwhelming them with details. The slow reveal of the world’s rules and dangers is a strength, as it makes the reader feel lost alongside the characters, creating a strong emotional connection to their plight. The story steadily answers questions while raising new ones, such as the true nature of the creatures in this world and the mysterious powers some characters appear to possess. This makes the plot feel dynamic, with each chapter layering in new information that keeps the reader hooked. The "Oh Shit" moments are many and their execution helps maintain the tension and excitement throughout.Style Review:The writing style is minimalist, which serves the fast-paced, action-driven plot well and allows for the reader to feel lost alongside the characters for further immersion. Descriptions are concise, allowing the narrative to flow quickly from one event to the next without getting bogged down in unnecessary detail. While this works for readers who appreciate efficiency, those who enjoy more elaborate, flowery prose may find the style lacking in richness. The clear, no-nonsense approach to description keeps the focus

Such an amazing story! The characters feel so rich. It’s worth seeing how things change throughout the book. And the ending is just so crazy! I really enjoyed reading it. World building is something I really care about with fantasy books and this world is one I seriously want to visit!

Well, I don't think I have much to say, other than that I really liked this book. The positive points that I can highlight are:World - the author really created a fantasy world, discovering more about its peculiarities kept me curious to discover more about this world.Characters - the main characters are interesting, I liked the personality of the three. Each of them has a certain complexity that makes them realistic. The secondary characters are also nice.I liked the pace, I read more than 10 chapters at a time without getting tired. The author's creativity in creating the creatures and species in this world is also something that draws attention.Right now, I'm eager to know what's going to happen in this book.

Lots of things to unpack here, so I'll just dive right in. This book took me by surprise in almost every way. it has pretty much everything you'd want in a long bingworthy story. Really interesting characters, some you love, some you HATE (more on this later). lots of unexpected events, I saw people talking about it in some of the other reviews I read, and they were right. There are some great shock and awe moments.
The characters are really relatable, at least to me they were. They're written well, and you are rooting for them... MOST of them. There is one who people seem to have a problem with, and he's annoying and HATE worthy. But as I kept reading, the author does something I didn't think possible. Made me start rooting for him. By the end of the second book, I was fully in the guy's corner, and ready to see where his arc goes.
I didn't have a problem with any of the small typos here and there, looks like most people left comments that pointed them out. Other than a few I didn't notice anything.
Im very happy with the story so far, so you're looking to get lost in a really in-depth and high quality story, this is the one.

This story was referred to me by someone who read it and liked it. I've gone through enough now to write a review.
I don't normally put reviews out there, but this story deserves it. Every stage of the main arc is so good, and keeps me wanting more.
There are some really incredible twists all throughout the story too. To the point where you cant really predict what's going to happen. My expectations were subverted so many times I lost count. And not in a bad way. I was mostly pleased with everything that came at me.
And each character is interesting so far. Even side characters have arcs that fit seamlessly into the main plot.
Also, I dont know if the author has an editor or does it themself, but there are next to no grammar issues I could find.
My only criticism would be that a few things are happening with a certain character, and at the beginning you're not sure why that is, only for it to get explained in book 2. So I guess it isn't a plot hole, just a little annoying.
Other than that, I am totally invested in this story. Author, please keep it up.

Overall:This is among the best stories I have read on the site so far.Style:Descriptive without being distracting, the style of prose efficiently conveys the bizarreness of the setting. For feedback to improve, I would avoid using began / started as nine times out of ten it is redundant. The later chapters sometime cut off abruptly (in a non cliffhangery way). I would also consider looking into deep POV. It's what I used for The Last Sin and you seemed to like it.Story:The story immediately grips you as the main characters are thrown into a horrific fantasy setting. The world building is organic, unique and feels lived in. As I read, it felt like the story was reading my mind. When I wanted more characters to show up, it happened. When I wanted more characterization, I got it. I also like the willingness to touch on relationship dynamics to add some drama subplots.Grammar:No compliments.Character:The story juggles three main characters. Their reactions and character voices feel real. One complaint I had is that the characters felt bland (like most isekai), the only character that we know much about at the start is Daniel. As the story goes on, we learn more about the characters. More importantly, we begin to see a contrast between how they deal with situations. That makes me very curious about the unique ways each character will develop. Things to improve: I would like to see more internal conflict right from the start. What do the characters want? What do they fear (aside from dying)? What is their misbelief about the world?

Tales Of Eleutheros is a book about 3 humans mysteriously appearing in a world called, "Pelemont" and getting caught up in political intrigue and war all the while trying to navigate and survive environments, creatures, and cultures very foreign to them. There are 3 main protagonists: Daniel, Katrina, and Robert. Each goes through their own compelling  storylines, and the group's dynamic is put to the test with the culture-shock and the different ways they cope with it.
The side characters, like my favorite, Delmos are also going through their own developments along the main characters. I always appreciate it when the author takes the time to flesh out the side characters instead of keeping them NPC-like. I do like the quirks some of these characters have and the relationships they develop with the protagonists are very interesting.
The overall tone of the book is casual. The conversations, humor, and banter is engaging and the characters' decisions make sense. Don't you hate it when characters would all of a sudden make decisions that seem to go against their core being? This book doesn't have that issue. The characters stay consistent to their core values throughout the book.
The book, in my opinion, is fairly paced and takes you right into the action. The author does a good job weaving  backstories and explanations throughout the story without interrupting the flow of storytelling. The action scenes are well-written and plays out like a movie as you read it. The world, as it is built is expansive with plenty of lore to explore, and as I have mentioned earlier, the banter and humor is great and the characters are really fleshed out. It's one of the things I like about the book. It's like, watching a group of friends interact with each other in real life. I found a few characters that I connected with. The story also has plot points that have subverted my expectations, which is always exciting to see in a story when it's written well.
So, if you're looking for an e

Note: this review is based on reading through Chapter 13.
Overall: Daniel, Robert, and Katrina are lost in a flash of light and end up in an alien world.  Not much is known about how they got there, but they are forced to survive by befriending a warrior race known as the Dae, while learning about the magic of this realm, contained inside spirits that populate the land.  As their hopes of returning home diminish, they face a new reality that involves the politics of a very different world.
Style: the author uses rotating POV to give the reader several perspectives on the story.  While there are some missed opportunities to get into the characters' heads more, their personalities emerge after seeing them struggle throughout the story.
Story: Plenty of things happen to the characters in this new realm, but the only overarching goal after 13 chapters remains the characters' desire to return home.  Instead of being introduced to a single villain or nemesis, the reader gets immersed in the world, in all its uniqueness.  The author puts a lot of effort in describing the scene, including the exotic flora and fauna from the spirit forest in the beginning, all the way to the different castes of Dae society.
Grammar: the story is tight and reads pretty well.  The author is willing to update based on feedback, so at this point, there's little to find fault.
Character: the three human characters seem to form a protagonist trifecta, with no single one of them driving the plot.  It's more like the story leads them from one scene to the next, as they experience Eleutheros from within.  As the story progresses, many of the Dae become pivotal characters, from Oros and Boros to Avria and Illya.  By Chapter 13, the cast expands quite large, suggesting an epic story will soon unfold.
In Summary: I give Tales of Eleutheros high marks.  I believe the shortcomings are minor relative to the enjoyment of the world the author has created, and readers will certainly enjoy following Daniel, Ro

This book has some great character and plot development going for it. I personally like the political intrigue and the society that the author has created. The author also does a good job at world-building throughout the book. Oh! And I forgot about the dialogue, I like the character interactions. It's like, watching people interact with each other in real life. I was immersed in breaking down each of the characters, their motivations, and their actions. I love me some complex characters.
Here are some notable chapters in the first book:
The first two chapters did a good job at introducing the 3 main characters and the world they find themselves in.
Chapter 10 adds more layers to the story and the natives they encounter with new lore/traditions.
Chapter 15 is when we see the main characters venture out with their individual storylines.
Chapter 21 through 31 - expect intensity and an unexpected turn of events for one of the main characters. This also has some very good dialogue between all the characters. This is my favorite part of Book 1.
There are great battle scenes in the book. The authors writes them out very well. Chapter 50 was a highlight for me as far as battles go.
The book concludes with a bang and I overall am happy with how it is.
I am looking forward to reading more of the story with book 2.
