Description
For many worlds, earning the right to be integrated into the System is the highest purpose. It is the goal of life nearly from the moment that intelligence has taken hold.
For Earth, it was just a thing that happened. They didn't even know about the System. The System, and its [Users] didn't know about Earth... and they aren't ready for them.
Frank gets caught in one of the most error filled integrations the System has ever had. How will he adapt to the new world?
***
Plan to drop 3/4 chapters a week.
Note on tags/content warnings:
Overall, I plan for this story to be less of 'lone nobody strives for the stars' and more of 'guy has to navigate a changed world where people are figuring things out and violence is sometimes necessary'. There will be occasional violence, and definitely some swearing. If thereissexual content, it'll be light references or setting it up and fading to black.

I like this.
No system is perfect and someone is always going to get screwed over. In this case, it's the MC struggling to game the system and survive a system apocalypse.
Easy to read, strongly written characters, the occasional side chapter without the MC, all in all a good read. - AncientDreamZzRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I've read 8 Chapters so far and things look very promising. Starting the story, we're quickly introduced to the main character, Frank, and his coworkers/friends, this gives us a nice insight into what sort of life Frank has been living and who he is.
I believe this apocalypse novel has a lot of potential in world-building, especially since the system in this story is very unique in my opinion. I like the idea of a sort of 'reverse transmigration', because the story focuses on Frank that has been left behind by the System. People on the 'abandoned' Earth is now treated as 'Natives', or monsters in this case. I'm exited to see how the author develops the plot and where Frank's unique origami magic will take him.
Style
Writing style is very easy to follow, the author's choice of words snuck in a bit of humor here and there that gave me a chuckle. There's not too much description and the author neatly leave room for us readers to imagine the scenery ourselves, I find that way better than reading a cluster of descriptions, very neat.
Grammar
So far, I haven't seen any mistakes and the grammar stayed consistent throughout the story.
Character
Since it's only the beginning, not many characters have been introduced so far. Frank's the one that's most 'developed' since we're following his POV, his inner thoughts gave us plenty of insight into who he is as a person, and there wasn't a need for the author to outright give a description of Frank's personality.
I believe that this is a story with plenty of potential, and has a unique plot along with its System that keep things engaging. Definitely recommend for anyone who wants to try out an Apocalypse novel with an interesting "twist". - DrspethRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So far I have to say I've enjoyed the story and the writing style. I'm curious how things will play out and look forward to new chapters. Keep up the good work Wordsmith. Thank you for your efforts.
For a more in depth critique, I'd recommend looking for other comments. What I will say is so far System Interaction is good, Skill and Ability usage is interesting and World Threat is pretty solid for the chapter count. Overall mystery is paced well. - InslayerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a left behind kind of apocalypse. The main character along with a bit over an eight of the human population were left back on Earth by a system not prepared for this many people. A few errors later and you have a right proper clusterfuck.
The system is changing their world and they are considered part of it. Demoted from [Users] they're going to have to take every advantage they have available if they want to survive the end.
I find that the idea of the humans being treated the same as the animals that are being turned into monsters is a fun and unique concept. - gajensenRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I really enjoyed this take on the System Apocalypse genre. My favorite part was the unique enchanting system with the origami. I found that to be super creative and fun to watch as Frank had to adapt to the new world.
Every chapter keeps the momentum going and it's hard to stop reading. It's very fast paced and fun, and there is a ton of potential with world building to explore. I also found the System to be humorous in how it kept defying the expectations of the characters. I'm not sure if that was the intention to be funny but I loved it.
I thought the human reactions to being transported to a new world were natural (looting, a bit of terror, etc). The consumption of the skill books was another element I enjoyed as well. Something I want to see more of is just engaging with more people in the world. I'm curious to see how others are responding to this new reality.
Overall, I think this a great start to System Overflow and I'm excited to see where Frank goes from here (again, I can't emphasize enough how much I loved the creative aspects of the genre). - Prince LinlinRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The system took over the world. Then shenanigans ensued. That is what we know. This is a new take on the genre, at least one I haven’t seen before. I am pretty interested in seeing how it pans out. The mc seems to be the crafting type. The prologue was actually interesting, gave some nice background on the mc. For some reason I thought a monster would jump through the wall. Like at any given moment.
Now back to the actual review.
Style: I didn’t find any huge issues in it. If I had to nitpick I would say it does not lend itself to explaining and left me having to reread at times. Not sure if that’s a me problem though.
Story: This is the best part of this story. I haven’t read much, but I like the premise quite a bit. The System is just so great at what it does.
Grammar: I didn’t find any major issues with it. Perhaps check other reviews for a better idea of what is going on.
Character: The character is pretty fleshed out, I might go as far as to say that it is a character focused fic…if I had only read the first chapter. At this point it’s not just that, but the characters are more fleshed out than I would have expected at this point. - AlsoJohnRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Merging computer OS across different hardware is always a bit of a cludge.
Tech support drone gets caught up in the [expected] error reduction protocols. Unfortunately - - - - - there in lies the tale. The system raptures the (elect?) (fortunate) and reduces usability for {unplanned} over population. In a nice creative touch they're not NPCs nor monsters - MK bk-201Royal Road★★★★ 4.0Funny, entertaining story about a world about to be subjected to initialization by the System, the only problem is, the capacity is exceeded by about a billion people so these people have to stay on earth and fight the wild beasts and monsters without a tutorial, the main character, having learnt "Enchanting" hopes to survive.
