I rarely read regression stories, and the last time I read a xianxia-type story was over a year ago, but now I have to read some of those again because this story only has six chapters released.
STYLE, GRAMMAR: Nothing to complain about. Everything flows smoothly. It's a mark of an experienced writer to write without a slab of fat info or thought dump to meet the word count. Everything is concise, clear, and now I followed it too.
STORY: The author has so far set the tone right in the first chapter and continued that pace relentlessly. Cliffhangers are well-placed, and the protagonist displays a level of intelligence, wit, and advantage from having experienced the events a second time.
CHARACTER: It's only been 6 chapters. I would've given it a 4.5, but eh, it's still too early, so I'm putting in 5 stars. I love seeing hypocritical xianxia protagonists get put in their place. I also have a very soft spot for political combats rather than actual, physical displays of prowess.
The way the author handles how the characters are thinking and acting are very competently done. I've read a lot of other stories before and they (including mine) have glaring issues when it comes to the prose, but the author hit this right at the mark.
CONCLUSION: I followed the story. Love the concept, love the characters, hopefully we see characters interact with each other more.

The story follows Tristan, a man who lives in a world where there was a System Apocalypse- only for a glitch in the matrix to happen, so to speak, sending him back in time.
With his knowledge of the future, he intends to alter his fate. Before, he had strived to be a moral person- though he seems to realize that it is far more pragmatic to fight unscrupulously.
Fighting his engagement's childhood friend? Why do it fairly, when one can simply send others to do it for him.
Story: I like how it unfolds, the story doesn't unfold too fast or too slow, the pacing is nice, throwing out enough just to draw you in without overwhelming you and dumping an avalanche of exposition.
Character: Up till now the standout is our protaganist, the other characters seem to fall into known tropes, though it is hinted there is more going on behind the scenes, likely to be revealed later on.
Grammar: I saw no major mistakes that should detract from your enjoyment.
Style: The style is adequate without being overly flowery.
If you're a fan of villain tails, regressions, or system stories - I think you'll quite enjoy this story.

System Glitch is an intriguing mix of litRPG and medieval fantasy, with the added twist of being a regression story. Now, I’ll admit—before picking this up, I never had much interest in regression stories, mostly because they have a reputation for being self-indulgent. But so far, this one seems to be handling it well.
We follow Tristan, who finds himself back in his 16-year-old body after living a long, unfulfilling life. While the sudden rebirth is shocking, what really throws him off is the "system glitch" he receives—something considered taboo in this world. I’m not sure yet what role the glitch will play, but it’s a solid hook, especially for readers familiar with the genre.
Tristan's biggest flaw in his past life was his arrogance and complacency, which ultimately led to his downfall. This time around, he's playing it smart—more reserved, more calculating, and even toeing the line of being a villain (which, let’s be real, he seems to be enjoying). Other characters, like Rhys, Chris, and Regina, are taken aback by his competence, especially when he sidesteps the traps that ruined him before. One of the best parts so far is watching him outmaneuver people who expect him to be the same naive fool he was before—especially Regina, his supposed fiancée, whose father arranged their marriage for political gain. She and Rhys try to undermine him, but every attempt backfires spectacularly.
The story also brings in a nice layer of political intrigue, setting up key players early and weaving in the mystery behind Tristan’s previous downfall. That said, while I find Tristan interesting, I haven’t quite latched onto his main goal yet—maybe I missed it, or maybe it could’ve been established earlier. Strangely enough, I find myself more drawn to Regina as a character. She’s struggling against the role forced upon her, trying to break free from being just a pawn in her father’s political game.
Overall, System Glitch has been an engaging read so far, with a strong setup and sol

"Reality reset; chance reclaimed. Tristan Von Astar awaits destiny's dance with time."
Overall: It blends interestingly the genre LitRPG and the Isekai world. We're invited to see the world through the lens of Tristan, and what is nice is that he's an experienced character who won another chance in life. This led us, the readers, to navigate a complex web of challenges and personal growth.
Style: The writing style is characterized by the narrative voice that blends with the character; it takes us readers to really picture ourselves in the skin of Tristan. The only detail here is that sometimes the structures in the writing feel off. However, there is nothing in terms of taking the experience of the reader.
Grammar: It has nice grammar and only a few errors where a review of the text can fix it. Like tensing shifts, some minor grammar errors and structural ones, with sometimes thoughts blending with the narrator's voice, in which sounds strange.
Character: Here is the golden star of the novel so far. It showcases Tristan as an intriguing blend of anti-heroism and complexity. It encompasses his previous life bias with the clash of the new life 'back in time.'. So it is nice to read his interaction with people he knew/knows. If seeking to enchant this topic, I would recommend further exploring his reaction and subtext when speaking with other characters, but I understand that it has a few chapters, so it takes time.
Story: It has a nice touch of strategic dilemmas with the system glitching, the foreshadowing about its reason, and Tristan itself. It has few chapters to judge it, but so far, so good.
~ Keep up the good work :)
