This story has huge potential. The plot already seems amazing, from what I can tell the main character is creating a body that will be functionally biologically immortal. The writing flows great, the dialogue does not detract from the story, the setting has just the right amount of detail, and I'm already hooked on the character. If there was any more of the story posted, I would 100% give it a shot, after being hooked by this prologue.
