Summoners...

Powerful beings who Summon lesser Individuals than themselves inside their Rifts in search of minions to do their bidding, entertainment to satisfy their egos, and many other things that were beneath their stations. In exchange, the Summonee gets rewarded with Experience for climbing the Leveling ladder, so they would, in turn, gain a chance at reaching the coveted Summoner Rank, all in order to manifest their very own unique Rifts.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For seven years Hannah had been plagued with a recurring Nightmare that would leave her scared till the day she died.

For seven years she had suffered under the Monster infesting said Nightmare, yet an act of bullying enforced upon her by the prima-donna of the freshman's year forced her to face the Monster, or die trying it.

Only things were not as they seemed when, in absolute desperation, Hannah discovered a secret lying hidden within her recurring Nightmare.

A secret left for her, and only her, by her deceased father.

Arc 1 - Awakening - Became very lore-dense since I went blind into the writing.

Arc 2 - Novice - Still going very lore-dense. Trying to lessen it, but it is hard.

PS; This story will feature theme elements inspired by other fiction since the setting is contemporary, aka, alternate Earth, but it will be set within an entirely original plot setting unique to the story.

First Inspiration - Monster Taming/Pocket Monster - aka Dreamon - vocally it would be voiced as DRE - A - MON.

PSS; The Cover picture was generated by an AI generator through my own actions and wordings, though my limited skills with such things could not convince the AI to make a teenager version of the MC. Oh well... It is what it is. I am just glad I got this much.

So far I like the characters and it has an interesting setting but the story progresses slowly by common sense sort of standards.
But if you enjoy the in-depth system that is the cause of the slowness the story is not actually slow. While the story is exposition heavy it feels like that is in the genre if that makes sense.
(There is a part of the system that is Nen inspired and HunterXHunter is also exposition heavy.)
In other words the exposition is both a strength and a weakness. Depending of the reader.
The story sucked me in and I binged it so I kind of want to give it a 5, but thinking about it the author writes better and better so Il give it a 4,5.

So this story has some pretty interesting world building regarding what people have essentially systems and how they work.
There is a lot of development but that leads to what could easily be the biggest turn off for people.  There is a huge amount of exposition.  I would say it is interesting exposition most of the time but still exposition.
The story is not yet far past from what is essentially the prologue so it is hard to tell what direction it will go in long term.  The beginning was pretty dark but it is not known if the story will keep being dark later on or light.
