Description

Bound in chains yet yearning for freedom, Alpheo, a modern historian, finds himself enslaved in a land on the brink of chaos.

As the empire of Rolmia plunges into civil war following the death of the emperor , his three ambitious sons vie for the throne. In the midst of this turmoil, Alpheo finds the chance to break his chain and escape, leading his companions into the ashes of war, trying to thrive in it, selling their swords to the highest bidder .

But beyond the borders of Rolmia, hungry eyes watch as the empire's grip loosens. The Sultanate of Azania, ever the opportunist, sees a chance to expand its domain and influence , while to the south, neighboring principalities breathe a sigh of relief as the once-dominant giant stumbles and falters.

In the sea, the confederation of the Free Isle finds their chance to restore their old maritime power , denied to them by an empire that is now crumbling beneath itself , lacking the strenght to stop them.

In this crucible of conflict, where dynasties crumble and empires fall, Alpheo find his call and the chance to forge his own destiny amidst the ashes of empires.

The Story is pretty good in my opinion but there is so many chapter where the MC is not the main pov (might be more chapters with non-mc pov then chapters with)
Setting: Alternative/Medieval world with a very light touch of fantasy (Which could change)
Plot: Slightly crazy MC who was a slave, led a revolt, then started a Mercenary Band. The world is starting to enter an era of strife.
Yeah so that’s basically the story, the creative choices might not be everyone’s cup of tea.

Great Start of a Story! The Main Char is a Patient MF with his start from boyhood in farm to his enslavement and his planning for escape from it to finally his desire for throne, And i expect him to remain prudent in the rest of a story. and expect Autor to put as little magic or none at all in his story considering the oracle bitch! And Please don't fuck this up 👆 because you have raised my hopes up☝ for the story! Make sure that you already have a direction where you want the mc to have his rise to power and his mountains to overcome if you know what I mean! GL and have fun with the world you make the story in! May your Brain 🧠 overcome the blockages you will have to the rise to greatness!

Only 1 main character but a few view points from probably future enemies or allies?
Its not multi lead character story but we will get a few chapters from other people point of view.
The kingdom building is quite nice.
Only problem is some typo errors here and there.
    Definitely an interesting read.

well the story is not perfected could use some refinement but generally acceptable, the story goes great but it is the writing that i have issue. typos and grammar errors. pronouns . it needs an edit.
the MC is  a smart person, and he can get the undercurrents around him and is not blinded by what is in front of him .
the story is very good but the POV changes at the start of the novel were annoying.
the MC character is cool. very calculative but not godly knowledgeable he makes mistake specially seen at his first merc. contract. but he tries to be good.
the side characters are very funny and diverse . and specially i like the fact that the slaves are really from all around the world just like human history slaves. you suddenly see people ending up on some other part of the world through slavery .
style of the story telling is good.
another issue was the poetry and the attempt at making glorious speeches, they were used at the wrong time i think and could use refinement . i mean they were good themselves and the words were beautiful but why the hell is the MC giving speeches left and right ? he is either contemplating ordering or giving speech. no real life for him . go do something man . what every second you are doing things ? no time to relax ? no time to do a hobby ?
thanks for the story author i liked it .

The story so far is great and I’m enjoying it immensely.
However there are a couple things that take it from 5 stars down to 4 in my opinion. The primary annoyance I find is that every couple chapters the author changes perspectives and moves thousands of miles across the empire and there is no mention of this either in the title of the chapters (interlude or something like that) or at the beginning of the chapter (ie empress in the capitol of the empire then the chapter continues with the reader aware of the shift in perspective) what happens instead is that you read the first paragraph and are confused and then only start to realise the shift in perspective.
The other complaint I have is that it is quite obvious that the author is not a native English speaker, which is not issue to me, but it does show in his writing so my suggestion to the author would be to maybe reread the chapter after it is written and run it through a program like grammarly.
But like I said earlier please don’t let these things stop you from reading the story. The story is great and any issues both mentioned and if I missed any unmentioned are only due to the authors inexperience and will hopefully be fixed later on.
On the whole I would definitely recommend this book to others and you do get used to the shifting perspectives. Despite me review focusing on the cons of the story i wholeheartedly believe this is a great story worth reading and following.
