Description

Ana just wanted to get home. To slip out of her dress and her heels, take a shower, and get into her PJs. Maybe have some hot chocolate before bed. It had been that kind of night. Instead, the kid she was bodyguarding got dragged through a hole in reality, and she went with him.

The bad news is that once the smoke settled, once she’d dealt with the idiots who dragged them through time and space or whatever, Nic was dead, Ana had no way home, and she had to deal with magic and floating numbers and a forest full of demons.

The good news? The locals are friendly. When they’re not trying to kill her.

What to expect:

OP class, strong to dominant litRPG with a slow power progression

A female MC with baggage, who really just wants some friends but is coping with the social difficulties that come with seeing people as objects

Possessed creatures (and a few bad people) finding out what happens when you run afoul of someone who only knows what sympathy is in theory

A System that's always present, but rarely visible

This is definitely my kind of story - gritty street rat saved by dangerous guy is then isekaied to another world. No nasty teenager here, thank the gods. She already has street smarts, defense and attack training and really doesn't get empathy.
The story itself is well told thus far and is growing in complexity. Where once it was "just" a new world, dead kid she was supposed to guard and random men trying to kill her, now the system seems to know her too. Intriguing mystery. The world building is so so , so far, but I think the author is revealing it as Ana learns of it which I like.
The MC's character is deadpan snarky and sincere which is an interesting mix and makes her more relatable. The supporting cast are all real, as in 3D, with their own quirks. And, we've only seen the first layers of most of them so far, so much more to come.
Grammar is where so many fall short but this author is good. I see that they've gone back and edited where needed and to date, I haven't run across more than a couple awkward sentences, yay!
If you like this kind of story, you're in luck, this is a good one.

The supporting cast is also amazing and well characterized. The world building is still a bit mysterious, but feels very realistic -- there's no long expedition dumps, only experiential decorations.
Can't wait to read more! Excellent writing, 10/10 recommend

And it turned out they were being modest.
In the very first chapter of this "Suddenly summoned"  'TF is happening? Kill or be killed story  Standard situations and characters seem like they may be a little bit more than the stereotype.  The author isn't satisfied with that  They totally break what you suspicions Suggest.
Interesting System, Interesting gamelit world of guilds and magics, MC has a class and backstory that promises a lot   Given the first chapter  There will be a lot. It will break expectations.

This started out alittle slower but it has picked up in the later chapters. The MC comes across very clinical and calculating at first as it goes on emotions are coming through. I'm enjoying the character growth, my only complaint is I read all the chapters and now I'm waiting on the next.

This story was a surprise. I was a bit put off by the cover but am glad i was wrong.
Strong character work, solid writing, a cool premise. Im not sure it is something that can stand up past the first arc with how OP the main character seems to be becoming but it certainly could surprise me there too.
The world and characters are definitely the more interesting thing here. The litrpg stuff is sadly a bit uninspired (so far) and fairly typical. More of an if its not broke dont fix it approach I guess.

This story is slightly different that what I usually end up reading - as in there doesn't seem to be any overarching plot that the story is moving towards, but I like it so far. The MC seems to be aromantic or something of that sort like the MC in Tori Transmigrated. It's a little difficult to understand and relate to but that's fine, the MC is a decent person and not too morally grey so that's good for me. I like how the story is progressing so far. It's fast paced and the other characters are well defined enough and the interactions are good that it's not boring - like when all the MC wants to do is fight and grow stronger and there's not much else. Looking forward to seeing how the story progresses.

[I'm not in the Patreon, this review is when I hit chapter 21.]
One way to rate isekai stories is by how much peril the MC is in after chapter 1, and how capable they are of dealing with it. Chapter 1 here sets the tone, with peril and confusion, but also some 9mm solutions.
If you prefer stories where the MC is thrown in the lowest pit of Hell and has to die 274 times just to level up enough to win a fight, this story is not for you. On the other hand, if you prefer an MC who starts out a little stronger, you might enjoy this one! Definitely the type of isekai where the MC mostly falls in with friends and the peril is manageable.
The system is an interesting one, sort of a soft class setup. People can choose classes based on the skills they have. You can reset and start over after learning new skills, if you don't mind dropping back to level 1. Seems that you keep the gains from your old class as high as you took it, and only start getting benefits from the new class after reaching a higher level than before. Experience can be used or sold. I don't remember seeing anything about a maximum number of skills. Looking forward to learning more about the system.
The world building is solid, and has some ideas I've not seen before.
Aside from the numbers going up, I'm enjoying the MC's introspection, conversations with the other characters, and the overall storyline. Splinter Angel is a well-written and enjoyable story.

Great story love every chapter so far my favorite and so excited for the 2d audiobook coming out . The characters and interesting and their development is never boring or stagnant. I hope this story goes on much much longer because I’m eating up every chapter I recommend if you can go and support the author!

One of the best Aro / Ace characters I've ever seen, it really captured the lifelong struggle I've had with wanting connection and affection, but not actually being able to feel social bonds or identify belonging.
Also just really well written and developed, solid character development, great action and energy. I'm so pleased to add this to my ongoing story library.

I’ve been enjoying the reveal of this new world alongside the protagonist.  I really like her drive to get stronger, and the mechanisms we’ve seen so far.  I’m a sucker for a totally broken class.  Side characters are definitely engaging and the interactions come across as natural.  As the stakes have ramped up, I’ve been looking forward to new chapters!
