Spiral of Magic

I never expected my door to open pulling me into the swirl of stars on the other side...

Sucked into a strange world where magic exists but where the wizards that use them really don't cast spells but more to summon magical creatures to do their fighting. It does make some sense, why bother spending a ton of energy and effort to throw a fireball when you can summon a small dragon to bathe the area in fire better than you could.

Yet now I am to learn how to do just that before I am strong enough to decide if my world is ready to join this collection of worlds in the spiral.

Yes, it's wizard 101. But with less game mechanics and more exploring for learning spells. Just, the game doesn't exist in the world cause I don't want to bother with that.
