- LupoRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Story is well written; characters are not overly stupid in decision making and dont make decisions just to push plot along, fun world building with multiple factions that are fighting over territory, the science makes sense (except for the Alliance "Technology") good bit of mystery and suspense. if you like syfi and simi dystopian settings this is for you.
- SiletRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is such a fresh concept for sci-fi that I’ve seen in while. I’m glad the author designed the factions based on their technological path and social progress, because most stories don’t bother with that and everyone is just a copy of each other with different technology.
only small gripe I have is the setup to the main plot/convenience of the whole thing. Apart from that I had a blast reading this story. It’s probably a 4.5/5 but I’ve seen 5/5 stories that are way worse than this one so I’m here to support 🫡 - JonnyJonnyDudeRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Overall, I have loved this story so far, through both of the books.
Grammar: I didn’t really notice any grammar issues, maybe a word or two here and there, but never enough to break my immersion from reading.
Characters: The characters, although not that many compared to maybe other books, are great. They all make an impact on the direction of the story, and so far there hasn’t been any that are just there as filler, apart from maybe a bodyguard or two. The reason why it’s not 5 stars is because one of the characters has to change their personality pretty drastically, but it totally makes sense inside the story and I think is a good factor in the story (but some people might not like that it was changed) The character in question is:
Hook, the AI
Style: Never really sure what style is supposed to be, but here goes. The style of writing is nice. No run on sentences, nor is the author repeating things that we know over and over again. The sentences are not formed weirdly, and you can feel what feeling the author is trying to convey.
Story: The concept of this series is really interesting, and the plot is never forced. The actions of the characters drive the plot, and don’t make dumb decisions for the reader. There is a lot of information given, especially in the first couple chapters, but it is needed to understand the intricacies of the following chapters.
In conclusion, you should really give this series a try, especially if you like building spaceship books, sci fi battles mixed with a bit of romance (not yet, but probably close), or the perspective of someone from our time confronting technology far in the future. - Neil1234Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5This is interesting the way it’s written flows well from chapter to chapter. The main character is easy to understand. The world building flows nicely. The story overall is interesting with its world building. Though a lot happens to the main character over all. I find myself waiting for the start of book 2 after the 34 chapter. Enjoyed the story so far and can’t wait to see how the MC recovers in book 2.
- ZentriesRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5It's a fun read its got interusting characters and concepts and is written well It's also one of the best new sci-fi book I've read in a while. the info dump in the first three chapters is annoying but not to long and also important
Overall I'd say you should give it a try to atheist chapter 5 or so
