Sinner's Game

Description
'Are you ready for the secrets that await between the Lines of Reality to unfold?'
It first sounds like a dream come true as Hendrick and his friends get transported into the world of 'Sinner's Game'.
But things soon get more serious as their journey takes turns into a much darker direction.
It doesn't take long until they realize there is more hidden underneath the surface as one might first assume, and a dark mystery starts revealing itself.

See, I know what you are probably thinking right now...
'The Cover caught my attention, but I'm not sure if I want to give it a go or not. I don't even know that Niffox guy, so why put in the time?'
Well, I'm glad you asked, dear stranger.
'Sinner's Game' is a drastically different and dark spin to the in my opinion overused and mostly stale Isekai genre. (Which also means that if you are searching for a story with things like grinding or farming XP, this is most likely not the Novel for you.)
It is a comprehensive, character driven and lore focused story with elements in the Horror/Mystery as well as Fantasy/Sci-Fi direction (Dark Mystery is the main focus). The pacing is fast, and the story has a set ending point. (No breaks in releases until the whole Novel is out. New Chapter every Monday and Thursday.)
The plot builds upon itself while slowly fitting in more and more pieces of the mystery. Double checking for details will definitely pay off as the story progresses.
Oh yea... and you can also expect some nerdy jokes and references as well, but getting them is not necessary to understand the story.
If the above sounds like something you could be interested in, I would appreciate it a lot if you would give it a go. Thanks for your Time.

- CanyaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I love the story and the plottwists. Also the metaphors used are really great. Sometimes the sentences were a bit off, but that might be personal preference.
I really recommend reading this story if you like mystery and horror (and somewhat isekai lol) (no front - Isekai can be different than others too my dear review-reader !!!). Sometimes the story is a bit slow, but thats totally fine. And all the different environments and connections within the story are wonderfull.
The different characters also have a certain use in the story. We got the main protagonist/antagonist, if you can call it like that, the friends and (or) foes. The different settings with different challenges they must overcome.
The switch of perspective is really nice too. Showing what other characters think always makes a story more interesting in my opinion. Having insight might reveal some plottwists, but since YOU (the reader) know things, the other characters don't know... well you can't warn them and idk if that makes it better or worse :)
ALSO THANKS FOR THE EMOTIONAL ROLLER COASTER! I was happy then sad then annoyed then relieved and this and that and boi---- stop messing with my mind buddy! So dear Review-Reader... be prepared! - canya_2Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0THIS is great! But the emotional trauma baby .... Each chapter presenting new plotwists, character developement and sometimes even new environments.
I love it and hate it at the same time.
Keep up the impressive work! I am already looking forward to reread the whole thing! Probably multiple times lol - SimonrazerRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0First of all: MAD respect for doing this whole thing, and finishing it even. Writing and thinking about stuff that much, it must be really hard. But it paid of!
I really liked how every character had a destinct personality. It made them feel very alive. I am personally a big fan of mystery/fantasy stuff, so I enjoyed it a lot when scenes changed and the "crew" had to try to figure out a way forward, and your ideas for the challanges they faces were super good! Big fan that it tied into the final reveal of the story as well.
FROM HERE ON: MINOR SPOILERS
There's a couple of things I take an issue with tho. First and lamest, some of your sentences/phrasings felt very awkward to me, and I had to reread quite a few to get what they are saying. Unfortunatly I'm not a pro-grammer (pun not intended but I like the result lol), so I don't know smth general you could improve at here.
Next: It is called "Forshadowing". Notice the "-shadow"- part, here refering to something faint, a slight overlay, hinting at things not currently in view. You, dear friend, full-blasted a flashlight at some major twists (they're faces look familiar... Hen is really acting strange... ). Repated again and again, it felt like either the characters weren't smart enough to realize basic things, or you thought the reader was. Striking a balance here must be hard, but next time go more subtle. An entire thought/spoken character about a fact is already a HUUUGE hint. One possible way to handle for example the "face-situation" with more subtlety is to have one chara point out a special thing about the face in question, during a fluid conversation so it doesn't feel to weird, and then just tell that detail about the special faces in question up again.
The monster's character shifts a lot towards the end. On the one hand, that of course makes sense since he reveals his goals and doesn't need to pretend anything anymore. But he shifts so hard, I can't believe that person would ever be able to pretend to be t
