In this cruel magical world, the magicless humans had to resort to using the mysterious shards. Dug out from monster corpses, the magic granting gems didn't come without flaws. No one was old enough to know how the first humans got here, but for many centuries, the sharded and the shardless had to live and work together to survive in the monster-filled world.

The story began when a soul from Earth was abducted into this world. He woke up in it without the blessing or any God or any other supernatural beings.

All he got was his wit and a little bit of luck.

This is a (light) LitRPG which aims to be closer to real life. Expect zero godlike skill, bountiful drops from monsters, or System-rewarded skill or abilities. Power-ups are slow to come by and progression will be slow almost to a crawl.

It is also important to realize that this is a depiction of closer-to-life in another world, so don’t expect a familiar Earthly culture or mindset. MC will have multiple relationships but not exactly a traditional harem either thanks to the monster shards.

And worry not, the author will do his best to suspend disbelief, or as he promised himself.
