Description
He who doesn't play well with others, plays with himself.
Lukas Zaun has been a thief, an assassin, a spy, an ambassador, the herald of a dragon god, and a demon lord's enforcer. And he did it all, sitting on the beach, watching the waves, and enjoying a cup of tea. That's the advantage of having clones.
Now, he wants to become an archmage and try his hand at godhood. It means he'll need to start from scratch in a new body and on a new world but that's no problem for someone who can be in several places simultaneously.
Pursuits of a lifetime mean little to a man who lives multiple days while others toil through one.

- Wyrm WoodRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This has just about everything that I look for in a LITRPG, engaging characters, interesting world building, balanced but still powerful "level ups" (although this system is based around improving skills and the synergies between them instead of raising levels equaling power). It's all there, outside of a couple of spelling errors here and there this novel is incredible.
Interactions between the clones and the main character is fun, a little less banter-y than I expected and more "yes chef, whatever you say." They're fun and provide a nice contrast to the usually very serious main character.
Hoping to see more development personality wise in the main character, maybe when he leaves the city he's in now he'll be able to start cutting loose and grow. Right now he seems a little cut off from his emotions, but I think that's by design.
As mentioned previously, there are a few spelling or grammar issues every so often, could definitely use an editor but im sure the community will continue to come together to highlight the small mistakes here and there.
Can't wait to see how the author fleshhes out the character and the rest of the world, wish there was more and looking forward to following it as the author progresses! - DWinchesterRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story is both what I expected, and not what I expected at all, which often makes for the best kind of read. It delivers what you came here for, but in a way that feels pretty fresh to me. If I had one complaint it would be how short the chapters are, but there are so many that its not a big deal.
Try it. I think I'm 10 or 11 chapters in, and it's moving right along. - Daniel MagayaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Awesome and creative power system and very interesting manifestation of shadow clone ability. The main character is the exact type of protagonist that I like who is predominantly logical about the choices he makes and also does an analysis of threats before he does anything risky which is the ɓest
- DenileRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is well written story with a pretty unique magic system. Pretty light on the numbers. It's a very MC centric fic, as he primarily interacts with his clones and a few other characters.
He is rational and makes sensible decisions without it feeling like he's a Mary sue.
Hoping for many more chapters!
Very much enjoying it. I hope - Dracansi_tufaniluxRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0There is a lot to discuss in only the few chapters I've read so far but I can already tell this is going to be one of my favorite series. The MC is likeable and understandable with an amazing power. He is not what one would call overly moral but that just makes it even better.
The cloning power is the base but the way magic works in this world is fascinating in the best way. Having the ability to mix and match powers so heavily while everyone could potentially turn something basic into something outstanding. I love magic systems like this as I can lose hours making builds for characters that I would love to see in the story. I can't wait to see how progression advances as the story goes on.
Whole the MC has had a series of unfortunate events occur there is enough humor and levity to ensure the story doesn't feel like a drag. This plot is refreshing to read and you will not have to check your emotional state to start reading.
This is another wonderful story from one of my favorite authors and I cannot wait to see where this story goes from here. The groundwork and foreshadowing being laid out make me very hopeful for a long epic story that will find a place in my favorites list for years to come. - Dylan ShipmanRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'm having a lot of fun reading this! It's still pretty early to know how good it's going to be, but I've been flying through the chapters. The system is reminiscent of HWFWM in a way, but there is a lot we don't know yet.
The MC is pretty mature and knows how to handle himself and stay reserved and considerate of his circumstances. Very strategic! His clones pretty well offset the seriousness in a way that doesn't cheapen the story at all and makes a lot of the interactions between himself and his doubles enjoyable to read. (I believe in you, Elvis! Only you can teach El-Prime what it means to love again!)
There are some minor editing mistakes like double words or misspellings. Very easy to overlook.
The world is very gritty and it's awesome seeing someone unafraid of lies and manipulation navigate it as opposed to a white knight who wants to save everyone. This is a character who knows that most people are here to look out for themselves, but it's good business to let them be the first to try it.
I'm really looking forward to reading this every time it updates, it's a lot of fun! - Lone StarRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is an incredible work of fiction, it takes a rather simple concept that a lot of us are familiar with and turns it into something unique and engaging.
Style
style wise the story is engaging with little to no plot holes. The story has a clear plot that it follows and the character has goals, but it's not obvious where the author is taking them. It's easy to engage with but doesn't follow the typical step a step b step c type plot.
story
the story as previously said is engaging and honestly is one of the best stories to come out of this website. I've read a lot of online fiction and this is one of the first books that has me hooked every step of the way
character
the character is excellent, he acts exactly as you'd think he would with his prior experiences on earth and in the other realm. He takes advantage of everything, knows when to withhold information and when to use it, when to cultivate relationships, he doesn't shy away from the grit but he doesn't bath in it either. He's also not the perfect Gary sue character. He's flawed. His thinking isn't always correct, he does things that sometimes aren't clever, or don't make sense, but not because the author goes this is what I want him to do, but because it's in line with who he is as a person.
Other characters are also engaging and lifelike with their own motivations, personalities and stories that are interesting and it makes them likeable and understandable. no 2d characters that aren't worth anything. Reappearing characters have actual worth and it's so nice seeing it.
Ive given character a 4.5 out of 5 simply because the one thing i don't understand is why he doesn't take his clones concerns into account. Yes they are him but they're clearly something a little more and understanding them could make his life easier. In the same case they may function differently to the clones he's used to so...
Grammer
Decent grammar, no real complaints outside of some mistakes that made it through. A proof read would get th - PhoenyxRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Really loving this story so far. The premise is interesting and the powers are fun without being overwhelming.
I found this one randomly and liked the name and premise. I was 10-20 chapters in when I finally noticed the author I J Pal and went well that explains why I like it. I have enjoyed all of their works and this one is looking to be another hit - AryanitsmeRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Needs grammatical corrections, and editing on some parts, story is solid, storytelling is also above average, needs more polish. It currently feels like linear episodic story, needs more main characters or more important side characters to improve world building and storytelling from more than one pov.
Good book though will recommend to read. - MODDEFRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Hi! I'm not really good at reviews. I'm just gonna say i really like the premise, the characters and the story so far. Just wish the chapters were longer and for there to be more explanations on the magic system. I understand the pillars but no the magic that he can do and why.
