- SavageC00KIERoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Regardless of the grammatical errors I really like this story and the way it's flowing. Overall, I just like the simple premise. (need more words-need more words-need more words-need more words-need more words-need more words-need more words-need more words-need more words-need more words-need more words-need more words-need more words-need more words)
- KhalaenasRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Now, as a fan of SCP this seems interesting. Now, as a person who doesn't like most xianxia, it seems sonewhat interesting. Now I just gotta hope the story doesn't fall into mediocrity. Now, I wrote this at the first chapter, and will update it when I'm done, something.
Also, seriously? No reviews? You could at least give the guy a chance. - Brian BrunoRoyal Road★★★ 3.0I'm at ch 71 and it's okay, everything in this book is done good enough for it to not be terrible, but not good enough for it to be one of my favourites, the fights are done well but there are too many of them, I get that it's the type of story that will involve lots of fighting but most of the fights don't have much purpose, no one's fighting to get stronger, it's not a fight that's important to the story, they're just fighting to fight. Also the way the mc's strength is hidden in my opinion, is not the best. I would prefer if the mc had something to hide her strength rather than forcefully stop her cultivation, I mean she definitely is able to get a tool or technique that can mask her strength so why not do it that way.
- tikiiriaRoyal Road★★★ 3.0The beginning was awesome. The world was interesting. Making fun of tropes was great. But it lost some shine after the tournament started. It was still okay through the tournament arc and after but it felt like it was just done for the sake of finishing. Still a worthwhile read but needed more SCP's.
- hardatkRoyal Road★★★ 2.5I really want to like this story, it has many things going for it. The concept is decent, the MC is a pretty interesting design and quite unique. Even the side characters are for the most part well done.
Unfortunately, the novel switches focus from character to character more often than not. We hardly see the mc at all. Which is a shame because I like her. - BzaurpaRoyal Road★★★ 2.5I liked the concept, how MC is suddenly throw into cultivation world, how she has to use random SCP powers to survive there. I love use of SCP in novels, their world is enormous with huge number of monsters, powers and items. And nothing match SCP powers as sadistic protagonist. So at the start everything was perfect, I enjoyed it with my whole heart. But things went bad fast.
I'm 50 chapters in and the worst part is that MC appears maybe in quarter or third of novel. You can have 3 chapters about her subordinates, then have half of chapter about her, then back to subordinates. Feels like author gave her too powerful SCP at the start and didn't know what to do with MC.
She can make any item way better, is capable of choosing how exactly it'll change, without time delay and with possibility to do it multiple times with the same item, and even person. So in practice, she can make any weapon, any secret technique, any amount of money and upgrade person in any way she wants with no restrictions whatsoever. And her opponents can only hit hard with sword or maybe in best scenario shot attack from few meters distance.
So even when she's in novel, she does nothing. She becomes something like: "Hahaha, I'm gonna pretend like I'm weak, cause it would be too easy to use my full power from the start. If I want to look weak, I need to find weak master and look like it's hard for me to learn from him. Oh, and when I fight, I'll fight weakest people and pretend that I only won by a small margin. Of course I also won't cultivate myself and look like I'm gonna cry all the rime. With this no one will expect my diabolical plan of giving 5 people some op items so they can train to get stronger. Bwa Ha Ha!" Seriously, that's all she's done, giving few items to her subordinates and rest of time acting like normal weak member of sect, not doing anything with her op power. Cause any sadist rather than using their strength to beat people up would prefer being lame duck. I want to laugh when - AadarmRoyal Road★ 1.0This story would be more tolerable if it ever focused on the MC. Instead as the story goes on more and more chapters are devoted to an ever growing list of side characters, most of who don't matter.
The MC herself, when the story does get around to her is a needlessly cruel sequel sadist for no apparent reason that is ever explained. - crystalkalemRoyal Road★ 0.5Let's just say, The stairs are where the entire series officially ends, the MC dies, and the writer forgets every fundamental aspect of their characters. Melee / midranged focused characters suddenly become long ranged focused for literaly no reason other than "they were totally always that way yup yup" *Spits on face*, Instinct focused characters suddenly ignore instincts and act upon rational thought, etc, etc. Seriously, Do not even bother picking up the book if you care even the slightest about consistancy in character development.
More spoilers, The mystery of who the MC is, is a red hairing. There is no mystery as to who the MC is. They are a totally random character with no background in the source materials of any kind. They are not from the SCP universe, or even any of the writers other universes. Just some random villain from some generic superhero world that isn't even MHA or some other established universe. Extremely disappointing and crushing to any enthusiasm I had built up.
If the writer had listened to the readers responces and had not done the 3000+ lives and stuck with the obvious function of the artifact, showing us the MC's inner demons, then even their Red hairing of a backstory would have actually been slightly acceptable.
But in the end it just turned out to be entirely nonsensicle on every level. The 3000+ lives gave 0 insight into the MC that hadn't already been explored both more in depth and with far greater detail prior to her stepping into the array. And the "answers" given were so utterly abismally poorly thought out and entirely without care that it was truly soul crushing.
Adding on the fact that the writer had entirely and completely forgotten every aspect of the other characters that in just 1 single chapter they destroyed everything they'd built up untill then, with nothing gained in doing so.
TL;DR
Strong start to an unbearable tragedy of a train wreck. While somehow simaltaniously being unbearable to watch due to the titanic leve - InkvisitionRoyal Road★ 0.5The MC is missing, or aside of a dominatrix torturing her followers and lording over them, has no real presence in most of the chapters.
I don't mind side stories and a bunch of extra characters helping the MC. I even accept the need to flash them out in a couple of chapters to give them depth, but frankly this has gotten to such a rediculus degree, that as earlier said, the MC who I want to read about has no real presence.
I'm sorry but I have to drop this novel. - ꜱᴀᴅ ʙᴏY ᴡɪᴛʜ ᴀɴ ᴇᴀʀ ʙᴜᴅRoyal Road★ 0.5I find the premise of cultivation as a meh but when its with and scp system that's just a gacha that's just borderline stupid, it would be infinitely better if it had nothing to do with martial arts or cultivation but here we are, watching the MC make the universe bens so far down calling it doggy style and making it shit all of it's plot armor in ever lasting glory and that wheel
..SPOILER AHEAD..
The chances of her getting the coffee machine as a pill refiner are so stupidly minuscule it would be a hell of a lot easier shooting a deer with a 9mm 10 miles(and this isnt even adding the sub variants of many scp and 6,000 plus every variant that could exist please give me a good reason why it shouldn't be that the universe's gaping asswhole is shiting out plot armor and giving the MC god like luck because to me it sounds like bull shit) and another thing is the MC is already an annoying existance and the oh so ever glorious back of the now bent down universe muah, it's surprisingly stupid and less logical than any 5 year olds fantasy.
Overall: about as good as eating mud
