Description

In a world still haunted by the divine catastrophes of The Sundering, eighteen-year-old Nolan leaves behind the quiet fishing village of Brinehollow to provide for his family. A fisherman’s son with no noble name, no magical talent, and no divine blessing that he knows of, Nolan carries nothing into the wider world but a desire to care for his family, his mother’s fading dreams of lost nobility, and a fierce will to prove he belongs.

But when his convoy is attacked en route by ancient fiends—monstrous remnants of a forgotten age—Nolan finds himself hurled into a nightmare. Armed with nothing but his wits and a frying pan, he lands a crushing blow that would kill any normal enemy. Only the creature doesn’t die. It comes back—stronger, hungrier, and fixed on him.

As blood spills and comrades fall, Nolan begins to grasp the true horrors hidden in the continent’s forgotten corners. Worse yet, the deeper truth might be not just what these monsters are… but what theywantfrom him.

And beneath it all, something older still stirs.

Scars of the Sundering is a fantasy coming-of-age tale that explores what it means to be brave when every instinct says to run—and what it means to fight when you don't know what you even believe in.
