Description
Rose always dreamed of becoming a pirate. But stuck in a backwater fishing village, the best she can hope for is to follow in her parents' footsteps. That doesn't suit Rose, so she steals a fishing boat and sets sail. Unfortunately for her the tide is far from kind and caught in its current, she must put her life on the line to have a hope of achieving her ambition. Fans of One Piece, Pirates of the Caribbean, or Treasure Island will find this a thrilling read. What to expect -A somewhat lighter system that focuses on skills, equipment and professions, rather than stats -Young MC who is a little clueless about the world and learns as she goes -Mostly ocean based story with epic naval combat and one-on-one duels -A weak to strong MC who starts in a tiny corner of the world and ends up a pirate legend -New chapters MWF at 9am EST To support me and read up to 30 chapters ahead, check out my Patreon:Adventuresse If you'd like to hang out with other readers and myself, join the Discord:Adventuresse Club

- Aleese HughesRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I first wanted to start this review by saying this author's prose is absolutely gorgeous. I love the detailed descriptions of the setting and the MC, Rose, and her feelings and perceptions of her surroundings.
Style: This book is a welcome change in the LitRPG genre. It is a simpler system, but that is not a bad thing. It allows for more room to grow a story/character-heavy plot. As I wrote above, the author's writing style is a pleasure to read.
Grammar: I only noticed a typo here and there. However, the one thing that sometimes threw me off was the strange placement of some hyphens. But overall, the book was very well-edited and made for an easy read.
Story: I was enthralled by Rose's start to an adventure as she ran off from the life she'd always known to sail the seas and explore a world outside of home. There are some slow moments, but there are some great pay-offs!
Characters: I LOVED the characters! The crew of the Unrequited Love is an especially fun group of people to get to know. I'm also excited to see where the author takes Rose's character. She starts as a naive young woman who has so much room to grow. The author did a great job creating a female MC who needs a little more life experience. And when such experience is thrown Rose's way, readers won't be disappointed to see who Rose starts to become.
I would recommend this book, and I am excited to see where the story goes from here. - AnielRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Great job your story is just that good from the lore to the characters, the tell progress smoothly and in coherence with the MC’s POV (we learn with her) and believe me in term of world-building it’s greatest way to do it.
I didn’t spotted any grammar fault.
So 5/5 for me. - Anup152Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This Story Is very good and easy to read. It has original system but not much(And the system makes sense), characters feel real(not just different names without personality), world building Is done mostly by Quotes at the beginning of chapters which Is good because you never get to many information at once which makes it easier to remembre. Overall i think Its good Story but i can't compare it to others as this Is my first novel about sailing(still Its really good Story So give it go).
- CashewRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story is full of heart and warmth and it’s been a pleasure to read. It follows a young girl on her journey to become a pirate. She’s a starry eyed adventure seeker who tends to bite off more than she can chew, but with the help of a great cast, she learns how to live a life on the open sea.
This story takes its time to introduce the world and characters to you and does a good job of building relationships and making you care about characters early. Each character I’ve met so far is distinct and has a unique voice. I enjoyed meeting them all!
The writing is super clean and crisp. It has a semi-literary flavor to it without being full of purple prose. It’s really easy and fun to read while still painting a beautiful picture with words. The dialogue is believable, sometimes snarky, and always seems to add to the story, characters, and world. It doesn’t feel like there is wasted space.
There’s an interesting talent system in place and it’s just enough to give those who like systems and numbers something to chew on without being the focus of the story. There’s also a hint of magic underlying this world, which adds to the intrigue. Also, there’s pirates! What else do you want??
This is a fun read from a talented author. It’s cozy at times and fast paced and action packed in others. It’s worth your attention! - Meep meepRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Brother I'm not going to lie I saw this and I was like I'ma try it out but it's probably going to be a miss but instead it was an absolute hit for me I absolutely love it keep it going you madlad absolutely perfect couldn't put it any better. - jjbbaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The one piece inspired litrpg I never knew I needed.
Once in a while you come across a piece of fiction that is so engaging you yearn for more. This is one of those. With the nice worldbuilding the skill system this just ticks most of the boxes of an awesome litrpg - lalacsulalacRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Interesting story. Seems simple. The world sounds like a big place though the amount of miles may be a young girl's imaginings. I look forward to more. I have not seem any mistakes and I like the quotes at the beginning of each chapter. It makes the world a bigger place without having to have a million characters.
- rooxsssRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story starts out rather fast paced, after a brief introduction to the main character, Rose. she wants to be a legendary pirate and stops at nothing to achieve this. it is like a typical dungeon litrpg but on the ocean with pirates. i loved the blend of action and world building and look forward to how it develops
- JagernachtRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5A fun buccaneer tale with interesting and developing characters. The system, known as the Tide, is fairly standard with a twist to accommodate the watery world. The story flows well and is engaging, with the sub plots weaving in rather seamlessly. That being said, the author should become a little more acquainted with ship and sail structure and terminology...
- ReoXDRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5It's just an excellent read. The characters are nice and each adventure they go on is fun the grammar is good don't know about world-building a lot but from what I know of it the story has good world building all in all you should read this (Random words RAHHH)
