If you thought life on earth was cutthroat, you ain’t seen nothing yet. Welcome to THE AFTERLIFE. Serac Edin is too rebellious for her own good, especially for an inmate in the meanest, lowliest prison in hell. She’s gone a little too far with her latest antics, enough to land herself a death sentence. Except she doesn’t stay dead. Thanks to the intervention of a sentient revolver, one who claims to have been to the top of the world and back, Serac becomes an unkillable Wayfarer. Now, armed with a powerful ever-evolving weapon, she’s contract-bound to ascend the afterlife’s Six Realms—all while monsters, ancient immortals, and even fellow Wayfarers stand in her way. How high can Serac climb? What awaits at the end of her journey? It all comes down to her REVOLVER and the promise she holds in her hand. Promise of freedom—and the violence with which to win it. What to expect: - Souls-inspired system with consistent under-the-hood calculations - Competent to strong MC - Enemies also hit hard and remain threatening throughout - Six different Realms, each with its own biome, culture, and unique challenges Release Schedule:Tue-Thu-Sat

Revolver Chronicles is an amazingly crafter piece of dark fantasy. It is filled with rich world-building, great characters and an exciting plot.
The writing style is vibrant. It has a distinct voice which balances dark humor, descriptive imagery and raw emotions. However the amount of descriptions during some scenes, especially action ones, might slow down the pacing at times where it should be rather fast paced.
The story has a captivating plot. So far the story has a high-stakes, grim tone. The combination of various supernatural themes with a gritty atmosphere keeps the tension high.
Solid grammar. As good as it gets on RR.
Serac is an excellent protagonist combining humor, pain, rebellion etc. Her internal reflections give a depth to her character. Mr. Voice aka Trippy's cold and calculating nature is a good contract to Serac's volatile one. Other side characters which have been mentioned also seem to be made with thought. Although the focus of the story is on Serac's journey. There's potential for the supporting cast to grow as well.
With further refinement of pacing and continued exploration of the story’s intriguing world and themes, this has the potential to be an outstanding narrative.
Great Read! Keep up the good work!

As stated in the title this story is very reminiscent of a Soulsborne game, from the way the system is presented to the terminology and attitude towards enemies.
The main character is still quite the mystery. She is presented as a cheerful optimist, even after suffering eons of torture that made her forget who she was. it's presented as the core of self image. The brief moments when we glimpse into aspects of her past give hints to her previous identity, in a way that feels more like a riddle instead of a history lesson.
The combat is smooth, the lore rich and the scenery descriptive, which makes a big difference considering the unique environments that were presented so far. The most unique aspect of this story for me were the enemies. Every foe was interesting and challenging, each required a special strategy and made for a memorable battle that eventually led to a tangible result.
I really like this book and I hope the author continues it until the end with the same impeccable quality that has been present so far.

I have to add enough for 200 words to make this review so I will just write some meaningless words here

What starts with a jailbreak out of the lowest pits of the lowest realm of a Dharmic-style afterlife leads to a journey of empowerment, self-discovery, and learning to git gud.  Serac Edin (our leading lady and current cover image, an infernal yokel with a possessed and judgmental sixgun) and Zacarias Borges-Juventus (seemingly dissolute fisticuffs expert with depths hidden behind the sad clown act, a.k.a. Zacko) make a great pair of kindred spirits on the same path, and their personalities bounce off each other delightfully.  Our main trio is rounded out by the aforesaid possessed firearm, known as Trippy in truncated form, who fills a role partway between guide, mentor, and nag--though he is admittedly not quite himself after The Incident.
I appreciate how deep-seated the LitRPG elements are in this LitRPG.  The framework of increasing numbers translating to increasing capability is followed through, true, but the reality of these realm-shaping abilities serve as the foundation for what precisely sets our main characters apart.  Imagine living in a world where some people get to use FPS rules while everyone else remains squishy and mortal to get a good idea.  The respawn mechanic allows for a bit of levity in the face of violence, while the loss of potential progress keeps a sense of stakes appropriate to the inspiration.
And just like the FromSoft titles, lurking in the background is an abiding mystery.  How did Serac and Zacko end up in Naraka?  How did Trippy end up possessing a gun?  What is going on with this mysterious voice that sometimes overrides Serac's?  Fertile ground for seeds of future storytelling.
Eternity is a long time and the immortal mountain is tall.  Bring a friend.

I've loved reading this, and I'm SO glad that I found this story. It's certainly going on my follow list.
The author does a great job of pulling you in with the system. Their way of writing is smooth and easy to follow, especially in the combat scenes. I'm looking forward to seeing where this series goes.
Give it a read for yourself!

While the genre is not new by any means, the Revolver Chronicles have a setting that is unusual enough to stand out. Not every day you need to dig yourself out of hell.
The MC and her sidekick Zacko come across as persons with enough depth to feel real, and even the side characters have at least plausible character traits.
Grammar and Orthography are quite solid. Other readers seem to agree, few feel the need to offer edit suggestions.

A fun LitRPG with Elden Ring like combat and respawning. A unique setting with Hindu influence you don't often encounter on RR. And the day being won with Grit, friendship, and the echos of the past in the now! Def a fun read if your looking for action and a fun adventure.
