Reincarnated as a Jade Beauty?! [OLD]

Description
Everything was going well for him: a well-earning job, a car, a home, but then he was tossed into a world of immortals, in the body of Jade Beauty of all things!
-------Hello, there. I'd written this novel a while back and only recently picked it up again, and decided to post it.I write mostly for fun, so uh... I can guarantee no update consistency. I will try to post 3 to 4 chapters a week, but again, I can't guarantee anything.
A/N 1: This is a Gender Bender work. If you dislike that, this is not for you; just don't give it a bad rating/review for that. However, Gender Bender does not have much relevance to the story. This was an idea I had a long time ago when I'd read the first Transmigrated-into-a-Villain/Young Master story. That's when I wondered what if it was written from the perspective of the Jade Beauty instead? So, I came up with the idea of some guy transmigration into the body of one. But at the time, I despised the 'conflict' that came with the category, so I kinda skipped the entire thing. So don't expect gender identity issues from this story - even if there are, it will be resolved in a few chapters at most. This is primarily a Progression Fantasy/Power Fantasy from a Jade Beauty's perspective.Though, you can also think of it as an amateur author's way of escaping his responsibilities and not studying the female psyche deeply. Like I said - I write for fun.
A/N 2: I don't have much writing experience and I do want to improve, so your critiques are welcome. Just don't be too harsh - my glass heart might just break.
A/N 3: MC will be extremely strong in her Cultivation Stage - and the strongest later on, but that doesn't mean much in the Cultivation World, where there is always a 'Heaven beyond the Heavens'.
A/N 4: This is still a WIP. I have the general plot idea in mind, but nothing concrete. Plus, I haven't made the mechanics of this world as concrete as I would like. So, I might make minor changes here and there. If I do make such changes, I'll do it retroactively across all relevant chapters. So, early readers might get a little confused, and I apologise for that.Of course, I'll post a note when I do make changes.
A/N 5: This story will take a while to pick up. So don't expect MC to have tremendous odds stacked against her from the very beginning. In fact, this will be more slice-of-life at the beginning.
A/N 6: Although, I've tagged this story as a Comedy, my kinda humour might not appeal to you

- AmonxKleinRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Good story, Plot is okay, some arcs in the middle dragged but overall was nice when u consider character development that the MC went through in the arc.
MC powers may seem like cheat but are explained later in the story
overall a good read if u like xianxia. - eucydakoalaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This novel is an incredibly pleasant read. The plot is interesting and well executed. The main character strikes a great balance between bring overpowered but still facing challenges. The world is well thought out and you will find yourself engaged by the main characters relation with her sect and the people around her. Give this novel a try and you will love it.
- CardinalRRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The life of a Jade Beauty isn't all its cracked up to be, but this story is. It's a comedic re-envisioning of classic cultivation tropes through the eyes of a young woman who experiences both the privileges and perils of stunning beauty.
Xiao Hong gets some major (unearned) boosts through her system at the beginning, but this isn't a big problem because it feeds into the main challenge to her progression early on: she needs protection and lots of spirit stones. Thus begins her rise as the sect's new alchemy protégé. You see, she understands all too well that her wellbeing is dependent on securing the protection of more powerful cultivators until she can become a powerhouse herself.
The best way to get rich and ensure everyone treats you well? Become the one who's crafting the items everyone needs.
The story doesn't shy away from how much it sucks when powerful men with connections want to use and abuse you. For example, there's a heartwarming but deadly serious moment when a female Elder insists that Xiao Hong learn Escape Techniques before venturing into a secret realm with other sects and male cultivators. This all adds a mature impetus for why she wants power that goes beyond the usual "I want to be the very best, like no one ever was" reasoning. However, this is a light and good humored story, so Xiao Hong is successful at deflecting and avoiding most of the attention of unpleasant young masters so far.
The budding relationship between Xiao Hong and fellow Jade Beauty Qiao Guiying is really cute.
The worldbuilding so far is standard plus little details that enhance it, such as Sect Elders who actually predict that the Arrogant Young Master is going to bother their new protégé or an auction house where everyone studiously ignores the Jade Beauties because the last time someone didn't, they got crippled by men trying to impress her.
Delivered on the premise, often in surprisingly mature ways. - CelestialSlimeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I am going to be honest , this has been quite an interesting read from the very first chapter.
The protagonist knows she is vulnerable and not all powerful , therefore is not arrogant and this also shows there is possibility of growth in the future.
I especially like the transition of the chapters and how the novel is narrated using third person , and the humour in the story is especially hilarious to me - a nice blend of laughs, action and of course - beauties !
And the plot , unique to say the least. The protagonist is essentially isekaid Into the murim world , but possibly so have plenty of other people - an interesting concept. I also like the fact that there are also people in the story who could pose as a challenge to the protagonist , 'protagonists' as she calls them.
Looking forward to seeing more of Rialda , she is my personal favourite! ; )
Looking forward to more chapters. - demervalRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0very interesting so far, I like the satire with xiaxia at the same time as it is a xiaxia, the protagonist is funny most of the time, the gender bender tag is the only thing that I thought didn't make sense, honestly that ended up having 0 relevance in the story so far, MC has not had any type of conflict or self-discovery, in fact the genderbender has probably only had 4 or 5 lines of attention in the entire story and in general they boil down to "I was a man before" and that's it., the story continues normally. But honestly, it doesn't matter because while it doesn't add anything, it also doesn't cause any problems, so u can just pretend that it do no exist and the protagonist was a woman from the start. I recommend reading, its very good.
- deideiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Kinda pretty good for a xianxia/cultivation. It is easy to read, has plenty of comedic undertone to it, the story is pretty solid, the characters personality are distinct, interesting and durable though the story, the foreshadow of some events in the future are there and therefore you stay hooked to the story.
To me, it is just fun and enjoyable to read. - LuckyChantRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Promising concept and good execution. Regularly scheduled uploads of decent quality and length. I will continue to avidly read this in my spare time, and I recommend anyone interested to try it out.
The protagonist is the main draw and a joy to watch how others misunderstand her actions. One could even consider the story a lighthearted parody. - KoonriRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Lighthearted comedic tone xianxia, kinda generic (as it shows generic xianxia tropes) but decently written.
Don't agree with previous comments about MC trying and failing to be OP protagonist as she runs into more powerful and more talanted. It actually generic xianxia trope about MC lacking talant and compensating it with another unconventional cheats. and her system perfectly fits that role. So what that local talanted geniuses are powerful without any System, if she still got that System (that allows be on par or on the long run overperform them) as useparatable part of herself and result is not worse then just being naturally talanted in any areas she wishes to advance - it makes her exactly what she tries to be. - The OxRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Very promising, well written new Xianxia story here.
The tone is good-humored and lighthearted for the most part, the MC is proactive and practical, with a fun scheming/two-faced personality. Part of this is the fact that...
The MC is a gender-bent former male, isekaied into a young girl's body and life. (I don't even think this is a spoiler, but I've had two reviews deleted recently for mentioning stuff that was in the tags and blurb).
The gender-switch gives our MC Xiao Hong a very contrasting inner vs outer self.
Outwardly she is a drop-dead gorgeous Jade Beauty "Fairy" type. Almost every other person who sees her is shocked by her outstandingly exceptional physical beauty and ethereal aura. She plays into this by outwardly behaving as a diligent and hardworking person, who cultivates obsessively while simultaneously working hard as a low-level Alchemist.
Inwardly she is actually a Genre-savvy horny dude, ready to get busy with all the Jade Beauties she runs into given the chance. She's pretty much only started light dating with one Senior Sister, but her/his inner "dirty old man" dialogue when assessing other "hot sect babes" is kind of funny given how she's physically been turned into the epitome of that exact thing.
The genre savviness is also a major plus for Xiao Hong, as it allows her to recognize her EXTREME vulnerability being low power and smokin' hot. She is ripe for being exploited (RAPED/turned into a Furnace) if she doesn't find a backer STAT. This is a nice use of typical Xianxia tropes without OVERUSING them. I dislike the type of stories which attempt to turn some characters into Walking Tropes where their every word and deed is a cliche. This story is way less heavy with the "tropes drive the action" idea.
So far, Jade Beauty is a fun story. Well written, and well-paced. The characters are interesting and even the side characters have some complexity to them. The inner thoughts of all the characters are well articulated. Her cheats - kidneythieveRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I love it even though I've always hated most cultivation stories. Makes fun of a lot of tropes that have gotten old and changes up how these novels usually flow in a good way.
I'm not good at reviews so just give the first ten chapters a read to find out if the humors for you.
