The author should work a bit on the fight scenes they aren't bad though many things can still be improved.
As for the reason I am giving it 5 star is to encourage the author to continue the work. I have been enjoying this work till now and wish to continue reading it.

As for the MC he's intelligent, nice and also hasn't forgotten about his previous family and cares about them as well unlike many other reincarnation stories I have read till now. The power system should be improved because there's no explanation as to how the magic works in this world like it's source or something that can help in understanding the it's functioning in the world.
Regardless, the work is still enjoyable well if you don't mind the harem part which I am not exactly a fan of either but considering it's a grim dark world with ancient era theme and a patriarchal setting it makes perfect sense.

Set in a copy of ancient China with western magic instead of xianxia vibes, this serial scratched an itch that I've had for awhile. The mc is smart, strong and pragmatic. Unlike most recent stories I've read, he doesn't conquer because of an ideology that he thinks makes him morally superior to the natives. He wins through strategy, tactics and skillful political maneuvering. He acknowledges the differences between himself and the natives and accepts that he has different beliefs, but doesn't think it somehow makes him better than everyone else in the world. He doesn't win through plot armor. He has no urge to kill 'gods' or consort with demons as so many of the current web serials do encourage. He simply wants to help the people in his current world to live good lives full of hope and happiness. It's a good ambition to have, though it'll be quite difficult to accomplish as the world is grimdark and the empire is in a three way civil war.
So far it is fast paced and exciting. The mc grows quickly but not at an unreasonable rate. I am curious to see how the story progresses and am eagerly awaiting new chapters. I encourage others to give this a try.

So I just discovered this story today and had to read everything in one go. The writing, storyline and characters just draw you in.
Grammar, plot, and sentence structure are really good. It definitely does not feel like a copy paste chatgpt sorry which is sadly happening more and more.
I wish there were more chapters because binge reading these has been so enjoyable I felt like I was there with the characters.
