Description

Re: Apocalypse game now has aWebtoon adaptation!Aliens have invaded our world.

A hundred metallic flying saucers covered the skies of the world’s largest cities, forcing 10 million humans each year to play their absurd VR ‘apocalyptic games’.

[Entering game, round four...][Human vs. Bio Mutation][Main Mission: Survive for 7 days]

Humanity was forced to survive a series of different apocalypse scenarios: Ice age, Nuclear Fallout, AI Meltdown, Apex predators, etc. all for one promise:

[Defeat all rounds and we will leave your world in peace]

Every year, the whole world would watch the games in terror as their loved ones suffered and died, with less than 1% managing to return.

After 8 years, Alan D. Angello and his team, humanity’s greatest hope, were also defeated.

When all hope was lost, Alan was reincarnated 3 years before he joined the games.

Will Alan be able to make a difference this time?

Avans is one of my favorite authors. The amount of effort he puts into world building and the lore and background is phenomenal. the stories are well written and he should be wayyyyy more popular than he is! In this specific story, it is a nice twist on a commonly done genre. The main character makes decisions that any person can see themselves doing for the sake of their children, and is quite fun to follow around. Can't wait for the story to develop more.

Enjoyable. Good grammar and good dialogue. One kind of cringe moment at the monk temple with the girl that shows up at the end. MC is willing to help others but not in a way that inconveniences him. I like that he is rational and cold enough to do what needs to be done.

The sinopsis sounded interesting, a little bit cliche, but i love restart stories, so i always give them a chance.
The worldbuilding is somewhat decent, the characters a little bland and the story have some rough edges, but i still liked what i was reading... until i reach chapter 4...
I mean, i understand the MC need to train for the Apocalypse games and save his daughter, i understand he choose biking as a training regime, thats valid, even the swiming practice because that is excelent training for many muscle in the body, but when the character travel to Nepal to join a hidden monastery and learn the secret martial art of Kal-Umbra... well, i have to drop it, it was just too much... I dont mind wish fulfillment, but at least give some context and explain WHY or HOW he know that. Sorry, but i cant just continue reading.
I wish good luck to the author.

Was ok and had an interesting premise , but the closer to chapter 200 you get, the worse it gets. The mc is wet mop and just accepts evil people doing whatever they want even when it goes against his goals. One of the absolutely worse face plants I’ve read.
