I've been diving in the *humans are space-orcs* trope recently, and sure this work isn't directly like that but It's a chef-d'oeuvre that fits perfectly in the vibe!
Plz write a full book like that, the writing style with différent characters and the perfect amout of description and backstory is clearly my favorite.

There's a reason I keep coming back to this story and favoriting it on every platform I find it on. I'm just glad that I finally found the source and thank paradigmblue for some sci-fi reading that I can't get enough of. Literally spend hours going from Pinterest to Imgur to Reddit, then finally here on Royal Road for the full story.

I read this story on r/HFY years ago. I didn't know the author posted it here too.
    Fantastic story.
    Interesting premise.
    Great characters.
Great combat (space and close quarters)
Very nice firm scifi. (soft stuff like shields but well thought out. Very good FTL method with interesting limitations. Hard scifi stuff like lasers being invisible)
    Interesting and suspenseful plot.

This story is one of the best I have read in a long time. It kept me engaged and seamlessly built a universe that is both believable and compelling.
I'm always a sucker for unique takes on human/alien interactions and first contact scenarios, as well as the "Humans are Space Orks" genre, but this story is an entirely new take on the trope that has left me hungry for more and hoping for a novel, if not a series. A striking story, with worldbuilding to rival great classics of sci-fi  like Hyperion and Babel-17. I can't wait to see more from this author.

    This is incredible,
I would really love to see you develop this into a full length novel. I would absolutely line up to purchase this story if it were available. I love the way you describe the movements of both the characters, and their ships in space, they remind me of one of my all time favorite space simulation games, Elite Dangerous. The multiple perspectives is also enjoyable, I like being able to see what is happening at other places in the story, rather than following one narrative the whole time.

I have read this story multiple times now it is just really good. It has really interesting world building and fascinating aliens. I find my self caring about so many of the characters that appear and want to know what happens to them. It is impressive how well rounded all of the characters seem even in a relatively short amount of time.

I stumbled upon this story in pinterest and i'm so glad i checked it out more. Fun story, with great detailing of the intricacies of the systems structure which makes it very easy to quickly understand and the characters are all so well writen that even in this small of a story you find yourself actually caring for them. Really can't wait for the next chapter!

You lost half a star for not slaving way on the next chapter.  :p
On a more serious note, I'm not quuuite sure I'd expect to see a universe dominated by prey species. By the logic of the council races, id imagine most of those species wouldn't have the guts to head out into the open universe from their planet.
Maybe a prequel to help explain the council and council types?
