Description
Owen is a simple programmer for a low end shipping company, who feels like the background character to his own life. After one of his coworkers pushes him past his limits, Owen gets fired with his coworker getting promoted to Owen's old job. Feeling like everything is falling apart, the system appears and Owen dares to consider that this is his chance to maybe become the main character of his own life.
(This was written as more of a writing challenge for myself. I set the goal of writing and posting a chapter a day, so there is more than likely extremely egregious grammar all throughout its contents. Again, this was written with the goal of trying to build up the habit of writing, after struggling with consistency for so long.)
Hopefully, you enjoy this completed project of mine! Its rough around the edges and I never edited it, but I'm proud of the end result for the work I put in.

Spoiler the guy does get the girl. I was really pleased to read the story as it felt different to most progression fantasies. It does however need to be spellchecked and edited

I like the story so far, there isn't as much focus on the actual changes to the world that I was hoping for 4/5
I enjoy the characters and the attempt at character building for the MC, but the beginning is rough and makes it hard for me to like the main character 4/5
The grammar is subpar, the actual sentence structure and specific grammar rules are decently followed, but the chapters are still rough to read sometimes as they are riddled with spelling errors specifically 3.5/5
Overall, I will still give it a 4.5/5 because I do enjoy reading it so far and I think the progress is set at a decent pace. I am hoping the world gets expanded more as it doesn't feel like the effects of the system have been fully taken into account yet. Different skills allowing appearance change being a widespread base skill seems cool, but there should be multiple issues and it hasn't really gotten much attention. I'm hoping this starts to change, as with the city being in disrepair there should be a lot to go over that will help establish the world. - ZentraxiusRoyal Road★★ 2.0Enough grammatical errors to just rip me out of the story to the point I couldn't read it anymore, misspellings, wrong words used entirely, words missing, words repeated, words not capitalized, maybe written in notepad because there's very few writing tools that don't have basic spell checks built in these days.
On top of that, the MC is just not bright, side characters routinely are in awe of his unprecedented protagonist talent and he survives through dumb luck and plot armor then proceeds to just make the dumbest decisions at every opportunity. The level of "would you rather defend yourself with a knife, a gun, or a banana" and he will choose the banana. Not even for some big brain reason of "maybe it's a test or a hard mode with better rewards" but because he is genuinely just an idiot. The fact the author went out of there way to write in options only to have them specifically not pick the good ones leads me to believe the author is either trolling, or has the character being an idiot by design. Neither are fun to read through.
Also if you are not one of the main 3 characters you are literally just a background npc with all the depth of a kiddie pool and about as much personality - OdTARoyal Road★ 1.0The mc can not speak normal near a female and blush now and then. He offers his stats to see when they asked(2 females) but when he asks their stats they dont want to give to him because they dont "trust" him. And then he even makes a party with them after that. They begin to call him a pervert because of "something" and also the same in the next chapters. I couldnt read more from te frustation. If you can hold this then there is not other thing i have seen that was a problem like this one.
