Haruka doesn’t believe in metaphors anymore. Not since her poems stopped rhyming and her body stopped playing fair. The wheelchair squeaks, the umbrella drips, and the town forgets she’s there as quickly as it remembers.

Her photographs? Unseen. Her voice? Filtered through sarcasm and headphones.

But this year, a new transfer student walks into her frame—quiet, partially deaf, drawing things no one else notices. Aoi’s hands speak more than her mouth, and her sketchbook sees more than Haruka's lens.
