Description

It is a dark time. A time of madness, villainy, and horror. Humanity struggles to survive under the cover of the barrier. Cosmic horrors loom outside of it; and depraved supervillains, mutants, and mad cultists roam inside. Eaters and artificial intelligences seek our extinction. But an even darker time is coming--my time.

This is a supervillain story set in a grimdark world. It is inspired by works like Worm, The Cthulhu Mythos, and Prince of Thorns.

Warning: this story is extremely dark and might be difficult to digest, and I don't say that lightly. If you are triggered by anything, easily offended, or depressed, your best bet would be not to read. This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, places, events, locales, and incidents are either the products of the author's imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. All characters are over 18, despite what is said on the story. I want to make it abundantly clear that none of the characters in this story represent my political views or personal beliefs--this is meant to entertain you.

Overgod is a chilling exploration of power, manipulation, and the darkest corners of the human psyche. The story revolves around a group of characters who are as fascinating as they are terrifying, with the narrative unfolding in a world that's familiar and disturbingly alien.
The protagonist, whose name we learn is Noah, is a complex character who is compellingly repulsive. His power to read minds is used not for the betterment of mankind, but to manipulate and control those around him. He is a master of psychological warfare, using his abilities to exploit the fears and weaknesses of his victims. His speeches, tailored to the vulnerabilities of his audience, are proof to his manipulative prowess.
The story is not for the faint of heart. It delves into the darkest aspects of human nature, exploring themes of power, control, and the lengths people will go to achieve their desires. The narrative is filled with graphic scenes of violence and depravity, painting a vivid picture of a world gone mad.
The writing style is engaging, with a dark, gritty tone that perfectly complements the story's themes. The author does an excellent job of building tension and suspense.
One of the standout elements of Overgod is its character development. Each character is deeply flawed and complex, with their own motivations and desires. The interactions between these characters are fraught with tension and conflict, adding depth to the narrative.
However, the story is not without its flaws. Some readers may find the graphic violence and dark themes off-putting. Additionally, the protagonist's manipulative nature and lack of empathy can make it difficult to connect with him on a deeper level.
In conclusion, Overgod is a dark, gripping tale of power and manipulation. It is a story that will stay with you long after you've finished reading, forcing you to question the nature of power and the lengths people will go to obtain it. If you're a fan of dark, psychological thrillers, this is a stor
