Description

The human body is comprised of dead stars. What would it take for that stardust to burst back to life? That's been the question for the last 2136 years. Since the night sky glowed purple and hearts began to fuse hydrogen and pump plasma.

The Greater Systems has been able to expand across hundreds of stars in the local Milky Way due to these stellar abilities. It's an achievement undermined by its volatility. The power imbalance between red and blue stars continues to sprout instability and conflict through its 13 sectors.

It's with the birth of a star with a purple core, the same color the sky glowed that night, that the Greater Systems think they've found their solution to the war.

Mira wants to make them proud. She's trained her whole life for it. There's so much she doesn't know, so much she won't want to know, but sometimes eagerness is a naivety.

What to Expect:

- Intrinsic power system based on spectral classes and stellar life cycles (two scales: one decided at birth, one decided "post-nova")

- Strong lead with flawed chosen one dynamic

- Progression of skills and abilities shown narratively, not in stat sheets

- Space warfare and politics (becomes more prominent later in the series)

- Early focus on character building and relationships

- Not romance heavy but is present in certain character dynamics

- No aliens - all stellar life originates from Earth

- In chapter perspective changes

Hypernova will release at least every Monday (additional chapter releases at random throughout the week)
