The author writes banter really well.
On top of that, this is the best story I’ve read that does a ‘realistic’ medieval world. I’m talking about the inequalities, be it wealth, class or sex. Unlike most other stories like this, fighting these inequalities isn’t the main characters entire personality, it is her goal but it isn’t all she ever thinks and talks about, most importantly, not all the male characters are terrible people. 5/5

I do not know much about writing for advance review but among few stories I have read. This is lot better and has lot of potential. The story is very different from normal trend on RR and still get better and better through each chapter.
Although the world settings is very dark but it justify our anarchist.

There's a lot I'd like to say about this book, but I don't want to ruin any surprises.
I will say that this book has everything I'd hoped for from Atwood's work, only better.
This book is much more satisfying, with characters I genuinely care about, a narrator who doesn't make me want to scratch my eyes out, and there's magic, too!
I cannot wait for the next chapter. And the next. And the next.

The story is too fast paced, as such it is difficult to get invested in the characters and important details are omitted.
    For example,
when Lilith first kills someone it comes off as quite strange as she does not really have much of a reaction to it, if it had been mentioned that this was not the first time the scene would have been much less jarring
Additionally I would caution against viewing individuals solely through the basis of class and material interest, though that is ofc important and can often serve as a good analytical tools for large groups, and can be almost universally true if a class self selects for certain traits like a willingness to exploit others.
However with nobility there is no self selection, due to the requirement being entirely based on luck. An individual could be a noble and still think that nobility should behave in a certain way not conformed to by the other nobles, F.E genuinely believing in noblesse oblige. They may even think the entire institution is stupid, rotten or otherwise bad but simply have no idea how things could be different, They might lack initiative or be cowed by peer pressure but may nonetheless be willing to act if pushed or if the opportunity presents itself.
Additionally it is important to remember that even people who exploit and hurt others without much thought can still have redeeming traits, even if they do not make up for that fact. A good villain is not one dimensional unless that is explicitly part of their character like if they are a force of nature or dark lord archetype for example.
Finally the story can come off as a bit self indulgent at times
For example when that noble dude whose throat Lilith bit out (don't remember his name lol) ultimately conceded Lilith's argument was correct and that he was indeed a bit of a worthless piece of shit. People don't generally do that IRL even if they have to manage their cognitive dissonance or retreat into blind dogma to manage that.
Last of all and most important

I love this story very much. I too have been frustrated by many many isekais that constantly just have mondern day people show up and say "well this monarchy is fine, but it needs a little more capitalism" and even when well written and interesting, they are still very frustrating!
This story is so wonderful, as someone showing up and saying "wow monarchy is bad" and then trying to make the world better, but dealing with the fact that it's actually really hard to make the world better!
Just reading the description made me want to read it, but the actual story itself, the writing is superb and I literally couldn't put it down. Finished 50+ chapters in less then 24 hours before I was caught up.

This is currently one of my favourite stories on royalroad. It touches on a lot of themes and ideas that I have been thinking about for a while regarding isekai, fantasy and politics. It's very nice to see someone not only coming to similar conclusions as I did, but also doing us all the favour of writing a story about it and posting it for free.
The categories are in order of how relevant I find them when evaluating this story, starting from least relevant.
    Grammar: No issues. Easy 5/5.
Style: This story is written in an engaging style that focuses on the main character and her inner life, occasionally switching to other characters' points of view when it adds something to the reader's understanding or experience. The story has a slow pace most of the time, taking the time it needs to get the reader familiar with the world and characters, which I appreciate. Action sequences do get an appropriately fast pace. The chapters are a bit short, and sometimes, parts of the story I would've liked to see more of (magic!) are only quickly looked at or skipped altogether. In the end, that's very understandable, so Style is a 4.5/5.
Character: I really like the main character, which is doubly a good thing since we get to see the inside of her head a lot. She's driven, she knows what she wants and she does not take any amount of shit. Really, I would like to be more like her. She does have flaws, but she is aware of them and tries to fix or work around them, even if she does not always succeed. The side characters are also well written. Everyone who appears in more than a few scenes is a person with a different worldview, motivations, and personality than the protagonist. Character gets a 5/5.
Story: Especially in the beginning, you might think this is an edgy take on what is more or less a typical isekai/transmigration story. I can assure you that it's way more than that. There has been a lot of though put into the worldbuilding and the structure of the plot. Even if the reade

What a ride the first two volumes are.
Honestly it's the most excited I was about a story on this site for years. It has all you want: power progression, eldritch gods, morals, ethics, fighting, lgbt+...
The author started with an good level for the storytelling and developped quickly and soared higher. I can see the story was planned and so it flows very well. The style is good too.

This is a great story when it doesn't feel like you're reading a political manifesto. The MC is an anarchist and will let you know about it. The more Lilith talks about her anarchism the more she feels like a socially conscious libertarian that wants to impose her ideas on the world without taking leadership because everyone needs to be their own individual selves.

First of all, Lilith is an adult, she's an adult from the start and acts her real age. This is a dark world but she's trying to make it better.
She's clearly chaotic good and, like it says in the title, an anarchist or at best anarcho syndicalist. She has clearly thought her positions through and is not just parotting shit. As you can see from the title, this is very much a political story, readers with strong sensibilities in this department might want to skip it.
I have noticed no typos or obvious grammar blunders. The writing style does not take away from the story as told.
I think the world building and setting is pretty good. It's just about how I think a medieval europe with magic would actually go, with all the ugliness that comes with it.
I really like a main character with strong beliefs (even if they don't completely agree with my own) where she is actually walking the walk to her talk.
The main character is not a mary sue - she does plenty of bad things, and makes plenty of mistakes, but she's trying, and fighting for a better world - I really like that.
No gods, no Kings, and no Masters!

This is a somewhat enjoyable read, fun MC, good message to be told, satisfying in the way MC handles things, but it all feels just a bit too forced. Though I don't often put all that much importance in the saying "show, don't tell" this does too much telling.
From the way the story, world building, magic, and backstory, is all set up, it seems like the story is more of a "look at this thing that makes me angry, I'm gonna stop it and no one can stop me." Which isn't inherently wrong, it's just that it feels as though everything else was forgotten.
The MC easily picks up magic, and easily designs the best magic circle ever created to our knowledge because mages and the world at large are apparently idiots due to the crutch of magic, already this is just not really realistic, espwcially when she does it with 0 effort and like half a year of work? And now she'll be the greatest mage ever?
This seems perfect as the world is built as a heavy patriarchy, again not inherently wrong, everyone loves easy villains, but it's so heavy to the point where it seems like every single person we come across is simply evil. A few kids aren't, they have yet to grow into such a society, but everyone? There should be at least some outliers, it feels unrealistic otherwise.
This also serves to make many characters feel like vehicles of said patriarchal problems rather than real, deep characters. Are people like this in real life? Sure, but some level of nuance needs to exist somewhere, reading about one character and a billion bad guys isn't the greatest experience.
Then there's the complete lack of stakes, tension, consequence, no grey areas, lack of believability, all leading towards a story focused on satisfying someones anger at a problem rather than telling something substantial.
I really think, as I don't know how the rest of the story has gone yet, that the author needs to do some level of rewrite to make this feel less shallow, give more depth to the story and more oomph to the acco
