- MozgovedRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So I was forced to make a review after the last chaper I have read.
I read lots and lots of books on RR and 85% of them are complete low quality trash with aspiring amateur writers just fooling around with an idea of writing a decent book, having may be a good starting dea with poor realistion.
Here though we have a narrative masterpiece. The book has a good (not great) general premise that I will not repeat from the fiction page. But the realisation of that idea is beyond doubt masterful. The flow of words, the character interactions, the general descriptions of the surrounding events are done so well, you forget that you are reading a book and feel as though you are there together with yhe characters living out the events of the book yourself. I think its called inmertion or something like that.
All in all a great and enjoyable read, with great style, pacing and consistency.
A true gem, do yourself a favor - you must read this. - EtherealSkyDaddyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Honestly my only complaint is that there isn’t more of it.
The characters all feel like real people, the dialogue is genuine and the story telling and pace feel snappy without feeling rushed.
I also think the system in this universe is well crafted and the main characters unique ability is actually genuinely unique instead of being a copy of one of the other dozen OP system MCs
I highly recommend anybody considering this to give it a shot. - MinmanethRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The characters are real people, not caricatures, with real dialogue, real problems, and real relationships.
The premise is nice and the existence potential long term mental/emtional problems because of high level talents (and MC's memories) is a nice, realistic twist.
The pacing is also quite good. Leavening the MC's almost goodie two shoes personality with snark and pranks, with talking smack and with grit/stubbornness was an excellent choice. She's young, believes in helping people, but is not a starry-eyed optimist.
I like her use of her memories and that they unfolded over time so that she is her own person, just one with extra knowledge and points of view. I enjoy how she tries to balance those with her life in her community, within her culture. She wants to make things better, not lord it over people. We'll see if she can maintain that.
The use of language is deft and the creativity is quite nice.
As a retired librarian, I am rawther (as Eloise would put it) in love with cracking good yarns that use common speech and portray people truthfully. No stereotypes needed here. Tropes? Of course there are tropes. Tropes exist because certain things work well for a variety of writers.
I hope you do yourself the favor of reading at least 5-6 chapters. - Jack ChambersRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story made me smile when I needed it.
The world building is engaging, the relationships the true foundation that pulls you in. The author has managed to thread the needle with an optimistic main character but yet not overbearing or annoying so. Even more impressive is the past life style of story is done in a way that feels, while not breaking the mold, is still refreshing and interesting.
It is still early in the terms of the story and where it is hinted to be ending. But right now is good. - KittyJinglesRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I love kingdom builders and I'm hopeful for this one. In the first chapter she's already trying to make concrete. The character is fun and plucky. The interactions with the other villagers are cozy but there's actionSometimes "funny" characters just end up annoying but the interactions with her friends and family aren't over the top or dumb, like he's she's dorky but it's not too much.Didn't want to forget to review, great start
- MateuszzzRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So far great read. Likeable and sensible MC that seems realistic enough. Good language/writing, only sometimes could be more explicit about who is talking or about what. Extra points for descriptive surnames - I wish other authors would steal this idea.
That all, just filling words now, just read it. - MattespeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I avoided this story based on the summary. I thought it would be all about female empowerment, hating on men and saying women could never do wrong. That type of thing really bugs me. There is a bit of that, MC finds herself to be a strong independent girl who doesn’t want to settle down. She didn’t in her previous life and plans on doing the same in this one. However her teenage girl emotions are getting the better of her.
The author has done a fantastic job of fleshing out some of the characters. The intro plot is very interesting. The powers that make her unique are fun and totally broken. I will keep returning to get updates about the story. I have a list of just under 40 stories on Royalroad I return to. Most stories don’t make the list. This one definitely did. - ChillySummerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It's still early on but I really like the story so far. Mera is an active part of her community and she feels like a teenager albeit an atypical one, due to her past life. The danger also feels... well calibrated (?) if that makes sense? It's not a super special chosen one type of danger, and I like that.War endangers everyone, Mera is just more aware of it than the rest of her village and she will do her best to prepare them for it but she definitely can't save everyone alone.
- MichvallRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I have read 16 chapters (all uploaded so far) and i really enjoy the story so far.
Different system that the usual litrpg but in a good way. Lets see how it evolves as the talent of the MC seems OP and may be difficult to make the story consistent in the future - Prowler777Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Loved this writer's last books and this one is proving to be another good page turner! This story really shows deeper development in the author's style and content and his ability to engage his audience in a well thought-out tale! The characters are well defined and easily able to be pictured in a person's mind's eye as the story unfolds. Definitely worth the read!!
