- K_NishiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I've only read up to around Episode 17 so far, but I wanted to post a review early so that more readers might discover this incredible story.
What makes it truly exceptional is how it refuses to let you predict what’s coming next.
In a typical story, there’s a series of events, mysteries unfold, and clues gradually lead you toward the truth.
But in this narrative, while the clues do accumulate, they seem to lead you away from the truth rather than toward it.
And yet, the deeper the confusion grows, the more desperately you want to know.
You keep flipping the pages, drawn forward by something irresistible.
This story has that kind of spellbinding power.
Its structure and atmosphere are so immersive, it would fit perfectly as a scenario in a high-quality Call of Cthulhu TRPG.
It makes you feel like a participant—like a player unraveling the mystery firsthand.
Personally, I’m really fond of the shady café owner.
He seems suspicious, possibly even an antagonist—but he might just be an odd man, or someone who knows far more than he reveals.
Characters like this don’t just add intrigue—they thicken the darkness that pervades the story.
If you’re looking for a story that doesn't hand you answers but dares you to keep asking questions, this is it.
