Description

Ayla always knew she wasn't ordinary.

Ordinary people can’t read other’s emotions. They don’t have the same dreams over and over again— dreams about a long-forgotten civilization on the moon. In the dreams she was surrounded by the same people, only their ages changed from dream to dream. Some dreams she woke from screaming...

Ayla and her best friend Terra arrive in Tokyo, ready to start a year of studying abroad in Japan’s busiest city. It should have been an amazing year of shrines, karaoke, and cat cafes. Jumping head first into independence.

However, as Ayla starts her new life, her powers grow and the dreams take a stronger hold of her— and she discovers she’s not the only one who sees them.

Why did fate gather them together from across the world into one city?

Were the dreams really just dreams?

Or, were they memories doomed to be repeated?

Before you start reading this review, it's important to note that I was fortunate enough to find this story before it was partially taken off the site due to being commercially published. Therefore, I have experienced all of the story. Furthermore, since the meat of the story is going to be available in its physical form, I'll not be including anything related to Royal Road in my review.
Style- My only style-related complaint used to be that this work's chapters tended to be quite a bit longer than the average chapter on Royal Road. This doesn't really apply to the book. It is worth to note, however, that other than a couple of spots, all of the story is told from the perspective of the main character.
Grammar-The author never had any major issues in terms of grammar. Through the help of readers such as myself and the publishing process, most of the remaining mistakes should've been ironed out.
Story-The story follows a colorful cast of characters, as they struggle to survive in their daily lives...and something else. The story features two main, distinct plotlines. One deals with the characters and their life in Japan, and the other one focuses on the (seemingly) prophetic dreams of the main character. These distinct storylines are interwoven in a way that creates parallels between the characters and events appearing in them, allowing the readers to further understand the characters, and potentially predict future events. As the story goes on, the importance of the two storylines shifts, as more and more strange events start to happen. The story has moments of tension, fear, and tragedy, whilst still maintaining the ability to trickle in slice-of-life style side stories.
Character-The characters in this tale are exceptional. While some of the side characters have definitely been left out and forgotten about, the main cast is very strong and charged with all kinds of emotional drama.
All in all, this story is definitely worth your time, especially if you're someone
