Definitely not min-max, this is a story about Maximizing. Story is off to a great start and seems really interesting though. Sad to see that it is on hiatus and hopefully the author feels up to continuing it. If the author is reading this, do not feel rushed or pressured or anything, take it at your pace and make sure you take care of yourself and don't drop quality just to put something out there. review has two parts
1-book seems super freaking good, i like the balance of the min maxing and the attempted logical approach to it. the drawbacks and everything are well done and i think so far it’s been a pretty realistic adaptation of what that sort of fighting style would look like. i was also genuinely pumped to see in the description that that main character would truly be a mage because i just don’t get hooked as much with melee main characters and so the transparency is genuinely incredible.
2-However the book hasn’t been updated in a month with no explanation or anything, especially after claiming daily posts until book 1 was finished? really makes me think the author is putting it on a pause for at least right now, hopefully they will change it from ongoing so more people don’t start it and get hooked to the story just for it to already have stopped.
