What if money was power?

What if capital was magical?

What if income was cultivation?

What if a young man decided to destroy this unjust world of inequality and build a better one?

That was exactly what Cæ (Cash) sought to do amid grief, anger, and hatred when he lost everything in an accident. Having come from nothing in the slums, his only goal had been to live a good life. By the age of twenty-two, he had finally managed to pull himself out of poverty with a decent job and romance.

And then he lost everything he had ever built in an accident that left him in a coma for half a year.

The world deprived him of the only person he had truly come to love. The predatory healthcare system burdened him with debt. The corrupt justice system deprived him of justice. The financial system robbed him of everything he owned.

For the second time in his life, Cæ had been left with nothing.

Well, almost nothing.

The accident and the ensuing coma had altered his brain and mind, giving him an extraordinary talent for cultivating and mastering magic. He had been blessed with Acquired Savant Syndrome, a medical condition so rare that there were very few instances of it ever having occurred in history.

It gave him endless potential and remarkable power.

It gave him the power to destroy the world that he hated from the bottom of his heart.

It gave him the power to destroy it and build a better one.

And that was exactly what Cæ set out to do.

This is my second novel, albeit my first time trying my hand at Royal Road. This story is centered around my desire to explore a story with a magical system centered around macroeconomics and politics. As the title suggests, this story will be centered around kingdom-building and progression fantasy. Romance is a coin flip. No smut. No harem. No systems.

Hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoy writing it.Daily chapters with 2k word length.

I’ve read Martial Unity before, so I already know this author can write some deep, well-thought-out stories. Magi Capital looks like it's going to be just as good. The premise is super interesting. Money and magic are basically the same thing here, and the world feels uncomfortably close to ours. It takes the worst parts of economic inequality and just pushes them even further, showing what could happen if things keep going in this direction.
The main character isn’t your usual dumb, reckless guy who lucks his way to the top. He’s mature, and you can tell he really thinks before he acts. He worked his way out of the slums through sheer effort, only to have everything ripped away from him because of how this world works. Now that he has a chance to fight back, he’s not just aiming for personal strength. He wants to change the system itself.
It’s only 20 chapters in, but the world-building already feels big. You can tell this is going to be more than just another "get strong and win" story. From what I’ve seen so far, it looks like we’ll be getting deep world-building, possibly some political machinations, and definitely an exploration of business and economic systems. The author clearly has an understanding of these themes or has done extensive research, because the way they integrate with magic feels well thought out and realistic.
The way money ties into magic is so well done, and if it’s anything like the author’s other work, you know everything is going to make sense. You won’t find plot holes where you’re sitting there thinking, "Why didn’t the character just do this instead?" The author is smart, and it shows.

The concept of the power system is a fresh breath of air. Money literally equals power.
The main character is born poor, and that most people born poor stays poor, especially in this world. Even with the bonus he got for being the MC, I still can't clearly see the path to success. Maybe that's what makes it interesting.
I haven't read many stories on this site, but compared to the cheap isekai stories I've been reading (watching) this past month, this sht gud. 5 stars for now. I might change it according to the progress of the story.

Lord_Streak has skills and I gave this novel a chance based off his insanely good novel Martial Unity.
Magicapita has a dark cloud of oppression and financial slavery. The world mirrors hiw our might be if the Elite had magic. I like the no nonsense, visceral reality that is painted for Cae "Cash" before our very eyes. His drive and ambition to grow is quiet a read so far. I an anticipate magic battles, smart sub-plots and well written characters. I hope we see a step up in the seriousness department. I think Lord_ Streak is worth our investment.

The title of the novel attracted me, and the story kept me.
This is how I would describe my current relationship with the story. It's fun, and well... very fun. The concept is rather interesting, and the world building so far has been great.
The pace is up to my taste, and I can't wait to see how it progresses as more chapters get released (which by the way, are getting released rather steadily and with a good pace which I really enjoy)
The story really drew me in with its concept, which focuses on economics, with the amount of money translating to how much power the MC can get. The concepts can be at times difficult to understand with those unfamiliar with certain terms, but Streak does a fantastic job at explaining things in a way that even someone like me can understand haha.
What truly fascinates me about all of this is the world building, which seems to be the author's strong suit as its just absolutely fantastic and drew me in entirely. The way streak tries to tie in world's economics with this unique world is something I find to be extremely interesting, and I honestly can't wait for more chapters to be released.
Please keep up the good work!

Good novel, one of the few I keep up with on rr. So far I like everything, mainly the plot rn is focused on economics, business and Magick academy, not much combat but its been interesting nonetheless. I'm quite curious as to how Magick works in this setting and how the author is gonna make it work

    This has so much potential!
The world-building is interesting, with a unique take on magic and its systems. The characters feel fresh, and the plot has a lot of room to grow as it explores the intricacies of magic, politics, and advnture.
The pacing could use a bit of tweaking in some parts, but the foundation is solid. The author has a great sense of creativity, and there are hints of deeper lore and mysteries that could really make the story shine as it progresses.
If the story continues to evolve at this pace, Magicapita could definitely become a standout in the web novel space!
    I can't wait, and I'm really excited.

    I got to chapter 3
The perpetual punches to Cae's life story is already too much for me. I just dont have the emotional fortitude to keep reading.
Just based on the first 3 chapters though, the story is well written, engaging, and immersive. The problem is that I can't bring myself to keep going; there's too much negativity for me to continue. The grief and sorrow and pain and hatred from the MC and evoked from the reader is on the extreme side of the spectrum. Trigger warning recommended for new readers
I may not be able to keep reading but that doesnt take away from the story itself. Still going to rate it 5 stars just based on how deep it brought my emotions in and how well written the first 3 chapters are.

The writing is solid and the plot is moving along well. But what I'm most relieved by is the actual business sense and economics. As someone who literally works on political economy, this fic is a breath of fresh air. The moment a distinction between labour and capital was made, I knew this fic had solid ground.
tl;dr this is an actual fic for those who like econ and genuine business sense (no mundane descriptions of 'success', but actual discussion of the mechanics that lead to commercial/economic success)

I really like the premise of this story. Money is magic is power is really interesting and has lots of potential. The story starts off focusing on this concept and continues to do so for the most part until the main character goes to a magical academy. Then the author splits attention between some business/power growth and long winded distractions and drama related to him specifically participating in school and school events. Some of this is relevant to the main story theme and premise. But a lot seems like Slice of life side stories and not as relevant which makes me struggle to continue reading at times. A chapter or two is ok here and there and is often interesting world building but the author often takes 10 chapters of side story which may eventually get to a relevant point but I didn’t care for 8 of those chapters.  I started reading for the premise on magic and power progression. Not for drama training arc side story. The First academy year was ok because the focus was on the business and not the schooling as much.  Maybe other people like the academy ark of second year but I haven’t so far. Overall a good story that could use either an editor or a bit more focus.

I was attracted to this book by it's interesting premise, and I feel that I need to give this a try because it will be a waste if I don't.
    I am not dissapointed.
Aside from a few grammar errors here and there and the glaringly obvious info dump at the beginning, I feel like the author has succeded laying out the core ideas of the world he is imagining and developong the concept so far.
It also seem that the author is improving the farther he got in the story, which is satisfying to see.
I am just hoping that this magnificent oremise will not go ti waste, but so far so good
