Description
I put all the warning tags to give myself creative freedom, but the story isn't filled with excessive gore or swearing. This is my first time writing other than for school projects. The gender-bender tag is only for the beginning because I wanted to try writing from a female's perspective and needed an excuse for why my MC reads a little tomboyish. The gender-bender fades into the background over the first few chapters; please don't let the tag keep you from trying out my story. Synopsis: Second chances are rarely earned and even rarer given. Follow a new life in a new world where anything is possible. Our MC wakes up, stuck as a baby, needing to decide how she will live her new life. Let's see what future she can forge when hard work rewards her with status points and skill levels. Author's Note: I'm currently slowly going back and rewriting my earlier chapters, so if you're starting to read this for the first time, try not to be alarmed if the quality suddenly goes down after reading a few chapters. I started writing this story almost three years ago, and I think I've improved as a writer since then. I appreciate your understanding; enjoy.

- KwrobesRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Every aspect of the character and works is self-consistent and comes together into something incredible. There hasn't been a week when I haven't been delighted by the chapter and the writing.
I've never noticed any grammar errors while reading, the characters aren't superficial and have their own problems, challenges and goals. The author has even changed what they wanted to happen to certain characters because it didn't feel reasonable for the characters to behave in a certain way or have plot armor of a given level.
I highly recommend giving this a try. Although it starts as a bit tropey isekai and learn magic with a system, it's all incredibly written and develops to be much more.
The one negative I might mention is that it's a bit more slice of life and growth which isn't even necessarily a bad thing. Although it is a little bit lacking in terms of having a long term enemy or goal to overcome, the individual 2 or 3 chapter arcs are delightful and feel more realistic to the world that's been built. The main character here is a bit special, but she has no grand destiny or special fate and is just free to grow and do what she wishes in this world. This is even explicitly told to us and her at some point in the story. Expanding on the arcs, I've enjoyed the minor threats to the village the MC needed to help with as well as the urgency that went towards crafting fancy level 100 arrows. I personally like the slice of life and skill growth periods, but I know those aren't too everyone's taste. - JossyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This fiction is simply one of the best, the way the story has been structured so far, MC development, the plot, the way it's written, the fact that the MC has done so much after being reincarnated despite being so young makes it even better, there's a lot of potential for world-building too, especially after recent chapters, it is quite a great fiction, I recommend giving the story a try and see if you'll like it.
- AditudeLordRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is by far my favourite story on the site, I'm on chapter 109 and the world still hasn't lost any of its wonder for me.From the description you could be tricked into believing that the life of a fantasy blacksmith will be boring or repetitive. It is anything but, there are some peaceful times where the MC grows and matures, and there is lots of tension which leaves you pining for the next chapter to be released. The style is good amongst its piers, if you like the whole reincarnated into a fantasy world thing than you'll like this story. My only critique is that the page of skills and levels as daunting to read at this point and I just skip over it now.I'm not a grammar nazi, as long as the sentences are clear and don't confuse me I'll forgive the odd spelling mistake or miss-punctuation.The characters are all unique and believable. They are all nessisary for the story, if any were to be removed from the story it would be completely different. Character building is my favourite part of any story and that is where this story excels.
- BakpfeifeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Really good Story. It goes into enough detail with everything, is fun to read and makes you wanna consume more and more of it, which is what counts.I kinda want more of it, just wish I could clone the author and have said clones work on different ventures.
- 13lack12oseRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Hello potential reader,I will preface this review by saying several things in order to clarify my rating on the story as well as a little about me.You may or may not recognise me. I read a lot on here and have done so for several years. Therefore, I feel that I have a pretty good idea about what the 'standards' are here on Royal Road.I do not judge, and rate compared to the very best of traditionally published fictions, since that is an unfair comparison to compare one author to how polished and readable a team of professional editors could make a book, but by the standard of the average work hosted on Royal Road. Therefore, a 5-star rating does not mean "Best Fantasy Work Of All Time" but rather a top-level story for what is offered for free on Royal Road. With that out of the way, let us jump right into the actual review.Style Score:5 cookies. Kosnik4 has done a bang up job here. I think the pacing and descriptions are detailed enough without resorting to info dumping (which tends to happen a lot with newer authors).Grammar Score:5 cookies. Excellent work here. Very few errors and kosnik4 actively fixes them once pointed out.One thing to note, although this is not really grammar, is the layout of the actual text within the chapters. The spacing is a bit janky, probably due to pasting from a different source. This does not take away from the story, but does, slightly, lessen the reading experience, in my opinion.Story Score:4 and a half cookies. A typical reincarnation tale, until you remember that the MC is female. And also she tends to avoid violence, making her an atypical MC for Royal Road.I personally believe that she has progressed a little too quickly (the power curve here is pretty rapid). But there’s hope on the horizon. Bigger baddies to face and challenges to overcome.Character Score:4 and a half cookies. Apart from our MC the other characters tend to be a little one dimensional. I’d love to see a bit more time invested in making the support cast feel more
- Fen_HelRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0An interesting concept, a great MC, a slowly expanding living world.
This is a great fantasy to immerse yourself in and enjoy, I look forward to every chapter that comes through.
I highly recommend you giving this book a try, as it's easily in my top five stories that I enjoy following on RR. - Ar548Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story has been amazing to read so far, as the title says it is an absolutely excellent personal growth story, but thats not why im here. I don't typically write extended reviews but I began shortly after the author returned from an extended hiatus and I just reached the chapter where the author returned. The authors explanation of their absence and subsequent return generated a emotional response so strong it reflected physically with tears of joy, not only at the fact that the story would go on, but at the author's happiness and successes in their battle with mental health issues. That type of response deserves a review and a positive rating.Kosnix4 if you read this: this story is wonderful, keep up the good work, we're rooting for you!
- DieMoeweRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0first of all, for all the poeple who want to give this story a try, do it! don't be put off just because of the gender bender tag, it's implemented in a good way and if you are well into the story you kinda forget about it.now then, this is one of my new favorit novels out there so far. i personally rate it all the up there with storys like rebirth of the thief who roamed the world.Edit: Still great, well i mean its getting better and better now with all that cool forging stuff . :3
- EdyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The novel grew to be one of the best novels that I wait for.
The style is solid 5/5. It has one of the best systems for an LitRPG novels, that enable people to get experience by improving their skills or fighting monsters. The chapters are long - around 5,000 words- and no cliffhankers at the end, you simply enjoy the week chapter to its fullest.
The story is not clear yet, but so far it looks promising. The MC is working at the village she was born into but she is slowly being introduced to world at large and so far the author always introduce new stuff that makes the story develop in a slow but will build pace. I like how the stats feels natural, the people need time to adjust when they increase their stats by large amounts.
The grammar is good, rarely seen mistakes that are quick to be corrected.
The MC is driven, curious and free-spirited. She focuses on getting her exp from building rather than killing. In general she feels real and is adapting gradually to her new life. Gender Bender like mentioned is not affecting the story in any way. She adapts to her new body, maybe we won't be seeing any romance due to it and she acts tomboyish but no other effects.
In general if you like reading LitRPG then give it a chance, the smithing and slow pace is will build that you will definitely enjoy. - LazRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It is often hard to tell if these slice of life novels set in game worlds (worlds with leveleling) are going to hold up untill there serveral dozen chapters if not a hundread.
Lucky for us that is no the case with this story. The characters are well developed and the world building is outstanding. The technique of havingthe MC start in a very small village is often used but I have never seen it used as well as it has by this authour to show the mechanics and nature of the world as the MCs own perspective and experiances expand. and so in turn learn more of thier own world.
The MC is powerfull, but still very relatable and her daily strugles to grind her skills are shown without boging down the story.
Further more the author seems to have managed to avoid the pitfall of many Litrpg books. Where often these novels have massive inconsistancies in the "system" In this case it apears the authoru has derived a well thought out and consistant "system" for the world from the very begining.
While This book may not be a genre that apeals to everyone. for those of us that like "blue box" slice of life stories following the growth of a character it is a true gem and a must read.
