Description

One day, the world changed.

Undergoing a scary and fascinating transformation at the chime of terrestrial timers set in motion eons ago.

Unfortunately, James finds himself stuck in the day before that change, caught in an endless loop and desperately trying to find a way out of his own skill and its preposterous use.

Time prisons have their upsides, but living out the same day over and over is gettingold. with so many looming questions of what aSystemis and why it needs him might change James forever.

For better or for worse.

What will happen to the future when James escapes the present? Is he ready to join the universe?

Is the universe ready for him?

******************************************

What to expect?

A man driven insane by the ravages of time trying to find his humanity again in a rapidly changing world.

James by the end of the Loop isnota good person, but he isn't abadone either. He’s just mildly insane.

Power scaling?

This is important so I thought I’d address it. James is a special case, but he is by no meansPowerfuleven by the end of the Loop. He works under the same rules of the system power scaling as everyone else.

There is no Rule breaking here. But there is circumventing.

*********************

If you’ve read something sort of similar, I wrote a book about three years ago with a similar concept of someone stuck in a time loop a day before the world was changed by a System. it was called Eternity's Unbroken if anyone's curious.

The Prologue is admittedly long, but it’s meant to establish who James was because he’s such a different character by the time the Loop ends. Also the story takes place in Melbourne Australia, because that’s the city I know the best. Just to avoid any confusion about seasons and whatnot.

    Holy shit.
    This is a banger.
And it is so hard to write a review for it. There isn’t anything to criticise. The writing, characters, story, style. Everything is well done! It pulls you in and doesn’t let go. There are only two problems so far; The grammar, author really needs some proof reading done. Second being the marketing…
I’ve scrolled past this novel around 6 times before clicking on it. The name, book image and synopsis feel lame. It gives me the feeling of yet another power levelling story with nothing else but level ups to keep the readers. I think this is keeping the story from storming to first place in rising stars.
    Anyway, GIVE IT A TRY.

This story is really great. I normally avoid  time loop stories because they tend to bore me after the first like 15 chapters (not to say I don't give them a try in case I find a gem like this story) but this story always had new twists, new interesting things that kinda felt like a puzzle I as the reader could piece together along James (the MC).
A big pro imo is also that we don't just stay in the time loop. No we escape it and I feel like the story only really starts now(at the time of this review James only just escaped the loop)
The only slight negative point are the odd typos or grammatical errors.
READ IT! Give it a try and it won't disappoint.
    Good job author

Ive read Mother of Learning, Jester of Apocalypse, The Perfect Run, and other awesome timeloops. This deserves to sit up there with them. The loop, the characters, *everything* is insanely well written, barring the few grammar errors here and there I will excuse due to the frantic writing speed xD
The portrayal of insanity and madness the MC goes through feels real in a sense that a lot of other books do not. The other characters do not feel like wet cardboard either, which is a huge, huge plus.
I wholeheartedly recommend and have favorited the story. I can't wait to see what else our dear writer will concoct in the future~

This story is genuinely written very well. It isn’t like your classic litrg progression and the whole start, from what I’m assuming, is the set up that leads into that. The authors building up the characters and setting up the whole plot in a wonderful schematic. All the characters feel real, and you get pulled in with every dramatic and emotional background in the story. The main thing I think the author does so incredibly well is deliver on expectations and shift the tone of the story naturally. I expected that the shift from the lighthearted prologue to the grim exposition and following mini climaxes to be hard to manage but he does it very well. There are a few quips with grammar but those are easily fixable. The characters as well, atleast in my opinion, behave somewhat unnaturally, but it’s definitely not a turn off. Especially with how the author sets up dialogue and plot to flow into each other. Though honestly I could just be talking bs, idk much. I do know that the story is incredibly engaging and that the author clearly put a lot of work into each chapter so far and that in itself is very admirable.

Ever read a novel where you never stopped grinning throughout?
Lost loop is just that kind of a story. The writing, the concept, the humour and the pacing just coalesce together to create such a satisfying read. There was not a single moment in the story where I felt an urge to put the book down. It’s at a level where you start questioning why aren’t other books written like this.
The writing style is very good at creating emotional tension without ruining the pacing. There was a legit moment in the story which made me shed a few tears. (I am sucker for found family and friendship plots)
The core premise is also executed with such perfection. The time loop arc was just long enough to be fun and interesting without going into the tedium of such stories. The following world apocalypse was also handled with care and has setup a lot of mysteries I am looking forward to the answers of. And I have no doubt the current arc will also be amazing. This author has earned a lot of trust from me.
The protagonist also has a lot of character and has a interesting edge to him due to the loop which adds nice tension between the characters.
The biggest strength of this novel is probably the writing which is so tightly packed. I love it. I just can’t stop recommending this to everyone around me.
PLEASE READ IT IF YOU LOVE APOCALYPSE AND TIME LOOP STORIES

I'm very glad I decided to push through and read this. It's good I checked some reviews first is what I'm saying - because otherwise I'd have stopped reading immediately. Starting a prologue with some kind of ambiguous nightmare sequence was a choice. A terrible choice. Once the MC wakes up it gets going though, then goes hard.
It felt unique to read a time loop set in Australia. I'm so used to American or fantasy settings. You wouldn't think it's a big deal, but the unique geography makes for some interesting reading.
This story reminds me of another RR time loop story called "The flower that bloomed nowhere." What I means by that is... this is not a typical time loop power fantasy. It has its own unique ideas and its own vibe.
I'm looking forward to how the story progresses after chapter 20 (which, atm, almost feels like the end of a book). This would be a good time to start reading. There's a nice round chunk to bite off.

Absolutely amazing novel so far.  Followed it when it was at 2k views and got around to read it a bit after, only for it pop off like crazy, congratulations!
The way the author conveys the emotions is breathtaking and really refreshing. A few people pointed out how he never thought of investigating the suspicious people who seemed to know about the whole doomsday, but I honestly think it's fine. When your in that position, what good would even knowing the details if your still stuck in the loop. Obviously is it an excuse and possibly a tiny plot hole, but the rest of the book is just soo good I don't really care. I just can't stress enough how amazing the style and writing is in this book. Coming from a writer, I envy the authors talent.
Grammar 5/5 some errors but it can easily be over looked.
Story 5/5 easily 5 stars. Probably the best time loop stories I've ever read, maybe even better than The Perfect Run. Not a fair comparison due to such a difference in style, but in enjoyment it's close.
Style 5/5 Not even a doubt in my mind, this style is one of my favorites. I like how the author doesn't throw in a bunch of random words that majority of people dont know. Sadly its a big problem. On top of the great style, the emotions the author is able to convey is amazing.
Character 5/5 love him. Finally a mature, realistic MC. Not edgy for no reason, not cringe, just a simple dude who was thrown into an unpredictable scenario and was forced to adapt.
    Amazing amazing amazing

Time loop fics are hard. This one is good.
The real key, I think, to time loops is the small stuff. The innocuous beginning that gathers more and more dread as the loop progresses. Trying to convince strangers to do utterly insane things for the best and worst of reasons. The fundamental dread that everyone and everything else is fake, temporary, meaningless in the face of infinity. This nails all of them.
Let’s talk problems! This fic has two so far. One chapter tries to do something quite clever, but does it in a clunky way. Other than that, the fic has insane word choices and spelling errors. I would have offered correction but by the time I hit the bottom of the page I couldn’t hit the next chapter button fast enough.
    So! Breakdown!
Overall, 5/5. The quality oozes out of the fic like syrup from waffles made (objectively incorrectly) from pancake batter.
Style’s a 5/5 as well. Points off for the one bit’s execution, more than recovered by the cataclysmic glory of the fic as a whole.
Story’s still beginning, but man does it hit the ground going fast. 5/5. No spoilers, though, which segues neatly into
Characters, also hard to do in a non-spoilery way. The early ones that get reset are probably fine to talk about, and man they are just built different. A little brother anyone with sibling experience will recognize, a friend that makes me legit want to be a better person… probably should stop there. Read it if you want more! No stop reading this review why are you still here go read iT NOW-
Grammar ain’t too hot, let me tell you h’wat. There is a Swedish guy who gets called sweetish? For some reason? Autocorrect hits different sometimes. Get yourself some beta readers author, that’ll bump you up in the ratings maybe. Or maybe Grammarly? Either one 4/5 stars.
I mean, what more can I say?

I think there's a good/great RR quality story here however it's hampered by a couple large problems. The grammar and syntax is legitimately bad. Every post has 20-30 instances of wrong spelling, wrong word choice, messed up homonyms, missing words, etc. I'm usually pretty lenient on grammar on this site but there's aspects of it that almost make me think it's an ESL writer but they're from Australia.
The 2nd large problem is one of the bigger plot holes I've seen on RR. This is a time loop story at this point and our MC has been stuck in one for a quite awhile (won't say how long to avoid spoilers). During this lengthy time loop apparently he has mastered every aspect of humanity except the one avenue that would be the first thing anyone would try. He literally never attempted to find out more about the loop, system, and very apparent "other things" that he encountered in the prologue even. It's basically impossible to ignore and I don't know how you fix it well. Honestly it would require a large ass pull retcon.
Also, a small but frequent habit of making things more "dramatic" when it really doesn't make sense if the reader actually thinks about it.
If there is every any desire to try to publish this on Amazon these 2 things really need to be fixed because they are large problems.
Otherwise it's got some solid components. Explores a more realistic behavior change of the loop. Good characterization at this point of the MC and his family/friends. Touches on some tough concepts and actually digs into them. It eventually branches out from the time loop as well.
Biggest positive would be that the author is clearly trying to write a story with a base level quality higher than most of the "McDonalds" quality stories that dominate the genre. Even if it falls short in some areas it bodes well for the future if the author wants to improve their craft.
I'd recommend this to most readers on this site, especially because grammar and plot holes seem to be two things most readers

The dialogue was super weird for me. There were a lot of grammar issues. It sounds like an interesting story but the first and second chapter are hard to get through unless you skim. Having the MC and his best friend named Jake and James is entirely too confusing when they're brought up in the same sentences constantly. Some parts are also just entirely unrealistic, like a caring math professor that knows the MC's name because he's often late... I'm reading a fantasy but that's a stretch.
