Leaving my world behind

The question of whether humans are inherently evil or if society corrupts them has always existed. In this story, we will follow the journey of Morgan, a young man who presents himself as kind-hearted and loving toward animals. However, he suddenly dies from an illness. It is then that he meets a death god who is ready to devour his soul and merge it with the universe. But another god appears to offer him help and to prove a point that the death god disagrees with. The two gods make a bet about whether Morgan will retain his essence or be absorbed by the cruel and merciless world into which he will reincarnate, a world where humanity is on the brink of extinction. However, there's a small detail: the death god reincarnates him as an axolotl, while the other god gives him a gift. Will Morgan stay true to his ideals, or will he simply become a victim of a decayed and corrupted society?
