Description
A cozy Christmas romantasy novella.
In a small Bavarian mountain town bar on Krampusnacht, Isa shamelessly flirts with a dark, broody man dressed as Krampus. She was cajoled on this trip to Christmas markets despite her overall disgust of holiday cheer and trying to enjoy the one night that speaks to her surly heart. When she and the tree-farm-owning Krampus, Remme, continue to run into each other in increasingly dire situations, they must both learn to overcome their frosty personality and work together - to prevail over the unnatural forces threatening the human world and the secrets they are holding in their hearts. Only after a mug of cocoa by the fireplace.

- LE HoneycuttRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5It took me a chapter or two to get used to the characters but once I did, I could see the arc that might take place. Though the story isn't yet complete, I find it intriguing enough that I'd like to see it completed.
With that being said, there character development is good enough (especially for Isa - the MC) that I actually began thinking the way I think she would think (yeah, I know, I lot of 'thinking' in that statement). As such, there's only one part I found unbelievable for her and it's not because of the way it was written but, rather, the fact that Isa is shown to be someone who thinks stuff through before acting on it.
I like the fact that this is a fade to black, closed door fantasy. It fits. Well.
I'd view this as more of a rough draft on its way to being a fully fleshed out story. With a bit more cohesiveness, it reminds me of a naughtier, more action-filled Hallmark story. I might be showing my age but that's what it reminds me of.
All-in-all, a really good story with a lot of potential. I hope it's finished at some point.
