Description
In the divine conflict, where mortals are mere pawns, vengeance targets the heavens themselves. When Elise’s life is upended by a divine intervention, she dedicates herself to exacting revenge on the deities who altered her fate forever.
A passion project of mine. Any semblance of a schedule has gone out the window (woops) so updates will arrive when they arrive (trying to start a schedule (hopefully once a week when i'm stable)). Hope you look forward to future chapters :)
This story is far from finished, but fear not, some batshit characters are coming soon >:)

This definitely takes a spin from fantasy into a very character-driven story that is very gripping. I won't say more on what's to come, but it's worth spending some time reading this one. - Disgruntled WelshgirlRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Kill the divine is part of rare group of stories that Isn't afraid to be unrelentingly cruel to its audience while never veering into hopelessness or misfortune for misfortune's sake. It strikes a delicate balance between bleak events and interesting character moments that come together to bring a gritty and fascinating world to life. If the rest of the series continues like this, I believe it can only get better.
- cursedclarkeRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Your book so far is a mix of raw emotional storytelling and uneven execution. You are clearly aiming for a gritty, character-driven fantasy rather than a clean and distant epic. That is a strength, because the writing has personality and a sense of lived-in emotion. When the point of view locks into the protagonist’s head, her thoughts and reactions often feel authentic. The immediacy works well, and there are moments where the weight of a scene comes through strongly. The problem is that the rough, instinctive approach also allows pacing, phrasing, and grammatical control to slip, which blunts the effect of your best scenes.
Elise works as a central character because she has a consistent voice. She is not presented as a flawless hero. She reacts bitterly at times, shows vulnerability without warning, and occasionally handles situations poorly. That makes her feel human rather than like a checklist of heroic traits. When she loses someone, when she lashes out, or when she is forced to play along to survive, it feels in character. You are not afraid to let her sit in uncomfortable emotions, and you resist the temptation to over-explain her thoughts, which helps keep her grounded.
The supporting cast is less consistent. Banen is effective as a figure to despise, but he risks becoming one-note. His cruelty is established early and stays constant, but there is little depth beyond his sadism and manipulativeness. Felen and Saura are more intriguing, yet they drift in and out without enough development for the reader to fully grasp where they stand. Felen’s moments of doubt are interesting but do not go anywhere yet. Saura’s powers are striking, but their motivations remain so obscured that they feel evasive instead of deliberately mysterious.
Alitelle is the most emotionally charged side character so far. Her kindness feels genuine, and her death has real impact. The later reveal that she may have been connected to Aimes is tricky. As it stands, it risks feeling like a t
